Things That Go Bump

I've made promise after promise since 2020 that the videos are coming and the channel is coming back. The reality is I have struggled immensely to breathe life into this channel for a long time. I burnt out very quickly after the Ourang Medan video, a video that was produced during the height of the Covid19 Pandemic when I was furloughed from work due to being classed as vulnerable. That entire year took its toll on my mental health which has had a ripple effect ever since, and since then so much has been going on in my life, and is still going on, that has acted as constant roadblocks to any form of productive progress. Add to this the constant thoughts of whether perhaps I'm just too old for YouTube (I'm pushing 40 now), maybe I should convert this to a Podcast format to reduce editing time and costs (finances being a major factor), or maybe even just convert this entire thing in to more of a blog style affair and write articles on my website instead of producing audio and visual content, or even frankly whether I should just give up altogether.

As a result of all of this indecision and distraction I have multiple unfinished scripts and ideas, all of which I've been trying to work on, very slowly.

The fact is at this point I don't know if I will start producing content again, and what form that may take. So for now, the channel is not dead, it's sleeping.

I'm honestly happy if even one person enjoys my videos, but the fact that 1000 of you have not only enjoyed the videos, but also want to see more really is an honour.

I can't wait to get back to making videos, and I hope you continue to enjoy them!
