ARLINGTON, Texas (June 16, 2026) – The wait is finally over as Six Flags Over Texas is set to unleash Tormenta: Rampaging Run on Friday, June 26. Breaking six world records, Tormenta: Rampaging Run is the tallest, fastest, longest and first-ever giga (any coaster 300-400 feet tall) dive coaster in the world. Themed after the exhilarating power and strength of the legendary bull, the park’s newest signature attraction towers over a new Spanish village called Rancho de la Tormenta, located in the park’s Spain area.
Daring villagers are carried 309 feet above the ground, giving them a breathtaking and panoramic view of Arlington, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Six Flags Over Texas far below. Just before the terrifying 285-foot first drop, the train pauses over the edge for three seconds, giving riders a new sense of fear as they stare straight down at the world below. After what feels like an eternity, Tormenta begins its Rampaging Run, speeding through a tall and twisted layout.

Tallest dive coaster – At a height of 309 feet, Tormenta: Rampaging Run towers over every other dive coaster in the world.

Highest Immelmann inversion – Riders are flipped head over heels at 218 feet in the ride’s first upside-down moment, the Immelmann – a fighter jet-like maneuver that takes the train into a half loop, then a half roll before traveling in the opposite direction.
Highest beyond-vertical drop – Once the train is finally released from its hold, it drops riders into a 95-degree, beyond-vertical drop as they plunge 285 feet toward the earth.

This new and immersive themed area depicts an old and secluded Spanish village, warmly inviting guests to partake in the excitement of the annual festival celebrating the ranch hands who raised the cattle that brought prosperity to the community. The “Festival Taurino” offers an atmosphere filled with vibrant and colorful banners, a range of entertainment and its signature attraction, Tormenta: Rampaging Run.

Major construction milestone reached as one of the world's tallest roller coasters continues to rise
JACKSON, N.J. — June 2, 2026 — Construction of Six Flags Great Adventure’s highly anticipated 2027 roller coaster reached a major milestone today with the arrival of a massive construction crane that will ultimately stand 450 feet tall when fully assembled.
The crane's main structure rises approximately 350 feet and will be outfitted with an additional jib, allowing it to reach a total height of approximately 450 feet as crews install some of the attraction's highest track and support components.
The arrival marks the latest visible sign of progress on the park's record-breaking coaster project, currently known as "Project Purple." When completed, the attraction is expected to rank among the five tallest roller coasters in the world and set multiple records.
"The scale of this project continues to come into focus with each new construction milestone," said Ryan Eldredge, Director of Sales & Marketing at Six Flags Great Adventure. “FT92: Under the Blue Moon” Set for May 30
San Antonio, TX (May 29, 2026) – Six Flags Fiesta Texas will host FT92: Under the Blue Moon on Saturday, May 30, inviting guests and media to experience a nighttime event centered on major announcements and immersive storytelling.
In the weeks leading up to the event, unexplained activity has drawn attention inside the park. A massive crate bearing claw marks has appeared in Crackaxle Canyon. Glowing red eyes have been spotted within, accompanied by deep growls after dark. The meaning behind these occurrences will be revealed under the light of the blue moon.
FT92: Under the Blue Moon, a fan-focused nighttime event featuring a multi-part announcement and live presentation.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas will unveil:

New coaster marks latest milestone in Herschend's multi-year investment in Kentucky’s largest theme & water park
LOUISVILLE, KY (May 28, 2026) – Today, Kentucky Kingdom opened Flying Fox, an all-new roller coaster that expands the park’s lineup to six coasters, the most in the state of Kentucky. Blending immersive storytelling, Kentucky-inspired theming, and family-friendly thrills, Flying Fox represents the latest addition in a period of significant growth for Kentucky Kingdom as Herschend continues investing in new rides, seasonal events, entertainment, and guest experiences across the park.
Flying Fox invites riders to join the daring adventures of Jeb Fox, a local legend and crop-dusting pilot, as they soar over a vibrant Kentucky farmland setting before diving underground and back again. Every detail of the attraction was designed by Herschend Creative Studios, the company's in-house creative team, with theming that celebrates Kentucky's agricultural heritage through a red barn-inspired queue, hand-painted murals, and playful audio featuring Jeb himself. The Vekoma-manufactured Flying Fox stands at 1,380 feet of track, a top speed of 37 mph, and a max height of 65 feet, creating family-friendly thrills accessible to riders 38 inches and taller.

Flying Fox represents the next chapter of a three-year, $33 million investment in the park. The journey began with the introduction of Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom in 2022 and continued with the $8 million debut of Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom in 2024, turning the park into a sparkling Christmas destination complete with more than 1.5 million lights, 300+ Christmas trees, and the state's largest snow tubing hill. In 2025, the park opened Discovery Meadow, an $11 million fully reimagined land featuring new rides, attractions, and dining that set a new standard for immersive, family-friendly experiences. Now, the $14 million investment in Flying Fox cements Kentucky Kingdom's place as the region's premier family entertainment destination.

The First Riders Auction gave fans the opportunity to bid for a chance to be among the very first to ride Flying Fox, raising $1,675 for the Kentucky 4-H Foundation. Kentucky 4-H supports more than 200,000 young Kentuckians through hands-on programming in agriculture, science, leadership, and community service, a fitting partner for a coaster rooted in Kentucky's agricultural story.
The 2026 season also features five new live entertainment shows running throughout the summer, new dining menu options, cashless payments parkwide, and mobile ordering at select dining locations. Season passes are on sale now until June 14 with options as low as $89.99 and include access to signature seasonal events including Pumpkins at Kentucky Kingdom and Christmas at Kentucky Kingdom later this year.
