🦐 PRO-TIP: Brighten Your Colony from the Inside Out

One of the secrets to making your shrimp colors "pop" (vibrant reds, deep blues, solid yellows) is often sitting right on your feeding shelf.

While genetics defines the potential, the diet unlocks it.

In their natural habitat, shrimp are ultimate grazers. They constantly seek out nutrient-dense biofilms and specialized algae. If you want those vibrant, thick shells, you need to replicate that nutrition.

The superfood you are looking for is Spirulina.

We recommend a clean, high-grade Spirulina source because the natural beta-carotene and plant proteins not only improve color, but they also support critical immune health and help with molting.

We designed Spirulina Complete to be the ultimate staple diet. It sinks fast, stays firm, and never clouds the water.

🦐 A new series is here β€” and it starts with one of the most underrated creatures in the hobby.

Meet the Bamboo Shrimp. Part filter feeder, part living sculpture. These guys have completely changed how I think about aquascape design.

I'm building a tank around them from scratch β€” hardscape, flow, planting, the lot β€” and you're coming along for every step of it.

Build time: ~3–4 weeks. First update drops soon.

20 years of shrimp keeping comes down to the video I’m dropping next week. But you don't have to wait that long for the essentials.

Today: A deep dive into the "make-or-break" advice every shrimp keeper needs right now.

The Future: I’m officially retiring my old filming style. Tomorrow, I start production on a new series designed to overhaul how you think about tank setups and the "rare" species most hobbyists are too afraid to touch.

The hiatus is over. Let’s get to work. 🦐

Maybe it’s time for a change? πŸ€”

Over the past 4 years, I have, on average released 1 to 2 videos every single week. Recently that has dropped to more like 1 a month.

The truth be told, I built my channel on β€˜Why are my shrimp dying?’, β€˜What should I feed my shrimp?’ β€˜Why are my shrimp doing X, Y, or Z?’ type videos.

In my opinion, these videos have been done to death and I can’t face making any more of them. If you search β€˜Why are my shrimp dying?’, you’ll get served 50 videos, mostly of people giving the exact same reasons.

So I have decided to pivot. I still want to make content about shrimp, but I intend to show you how I build ecosystem, how we can build set ups for more specialist shrimp species, how we can set a shrimp tank so we can have a community with fish etc.

I’m not knocking anyone who wants to keep making the β€˜X reasons why’ type videos, I think they are just no longer for me.

The new style of video are going to take some time to master, so please bear with me.

Hopefully, I can make content you enjoy watching and more importantly I enjoy making.

Have a good weekend
