Today, we passed 60,000 subscribers on the channel. This is something I am very proud to achieve. It has taken a lot of work to get to this point.

However, I would love to know your thoughts on something.

Did you know YouTube allows creators to buy views and subscribers?

Essentially, the creator pays YouTube, and YouTube boosts their views and/or subscriber count (depending on their goals).

Now recently, there has been a surge in fish and shrimp keeping YouTubers who have bought their way to 100,000 subscribers and the much converted Silver Play Button.

Now, if that’s what they want to do, that’s their choice, but what gets my goat, is they then create a post or make a video saying ‘how pleased they are’ and ‘they couldn’t have done this with their friends and family supporting them!’

The reality is, they couldn’t have done it without the use of their credit card.

Anyway, I wondered what your thoughts are on YouTubers buying their way to 100,000 subscribers then proudly displaying their new play button. 🤔
