Be patient with new players, helping them feel welcomed and guiding them through the game mechanics.

Bring snacks for the group — it’s a simple way to enhance the communal and friendly atmosphere.
Importantly, the GM shouldn't be the primary person in charge of snacks, and if someone is hosting at their house, they shouldn't be solely responsible either.
