The global Hallyu content contest <TalkTalk Korea 2023> was hosted by the Korean Culture and Information Service(KOCIS) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The participants, who are from 170 countries, expressed their love for Korean culture by creating original content about Hallyu, the Korean Wave.😍

🎼 Don't miss the opening of 'Embrace of Lights' in presence of the artist Ligyung and celebrated with a performance by none other than Korean soprano Sumi JO & Belgian countertenor Dominique CORBIAU on November 16 at 7:00 p.m.! 
 
Through this event, artist Ligyung will present her unpublished work “Embrace of Lights”, symbolizing harmony, peace, friendship and the future between Korea and the EU. 
 
If the Arcades du Cinquantenaire constitute the European canvas, Ligyung’s work is the Korean dress. This project highlights the solidarity and harmony between Korea and the European Union (EU) by projecting a dynamic monumental artwork onto the iconic structure of the Arcades du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, where the headquarters of the EU. By developing a creation of digital projections on the Arcades du Cinquantenaire, Korean artist Ligyung creates a symbol of the fusion of art and contemporary technology. Her project symbolically reveals cultural exchanges and visually transmits a message of future and hope.

Last Saturday, there was a tragic accident in Itaewon, South Korea.

A total of 303 people were injured and 154 people died.

The Korean Cultural Center in Belgium will have a national mourning period until 24:00 on November 5 according to the policy of the Korean government.
