Hey gamers it's time for your

✨Annual "Casual isn't dead" post and excuses✨

I won't bore with details, but I really let this year fall out from under me. I plan to do content over the summer, but not streams. Mainly I'll shoot for making videos I've been wanting to make for a while, probably one a month. This includes the Steamworld IOTA I've been wanting to make since I made the Mothergunship one, Mario Land 2 Pacifist, and of course, the Video Game Movie Review videos. I've scaled back the project, and plan to do about 6 movies per video instead of my original 11 per (which will help both my sanity and release schedule.)

Outside of that, I also plan to make some short films with friends and as part of my film classes over the next year since I'm really diving into my film courses next semester. So I may or may not post some of those on this channel or the secondary channel which was formerly only for the old Twitch vods from 2022. I got some good ideas cooking, you'll see (maybe)

It's gonna take me a bit to fully get back into the youtube mindset, but I will do my best to bring y'all some actual content. Thank you for your patience in advance lol.

UPDATES TIME!!!!!

You've all probably seen the IOTA shorts I've been putting out for about the past month now, and they've been doing pretty good on the channel. Though I realized something. The two problems with the IOTA episodes being shorts on my game collection is that for one, I'm not focusing on making full length videos (Which is good because that burns me out of content way faster than making short-form videos), and two, it defeats the point of the IOTA branding which was originally "I found this cool game and I want to talk about it". At least, that's what I was doing for Mothergunship.

So I have a solution.

I'm gonna make full IOTAs again alongside the shorts, making them based on indie titles that I've found that are really cool or good or interesting to me. This way I can keep with the original concept of IOTA, while still doing the weekly content of the Shorts. Currently I've identified a few games I can make full IOTAs on. Some titles include Webbed, Steamworld (Yes I will do it eventually I promise, after all, Steamworld Heist 2 is coming out soon), and Creature in the Well. While I can't provide a good timeline for when these full videos will come out, I'll be shooting for one every 1-2 months, so stay tuned

I'll be streaming Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore, a Zelda CD-i inspired game, this Saturday at 7:30 Central in order to get footage for a full IOTA. See you then!

Also I'll release a Casual Backtracking 3 on August 12th because I'm overdue by a couple months and still want to make one.

As you may have seen from my recently posted short, I am starting a new series on my channel called IOTA Shorts, where I review every game in my entire collection. I'm also going to occasionally make polls like these asking which games you'd like to see covered first (I'll make a video for each one, but this is mostly for "Which one we see first vs last). So, out of these options, which would you like to see made into an IOTA Short first?

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! WE HAVE DONE IT!!! 1000 SUBSCRUBERS!!!

I cannot fully express my gratitude about reaching this number! Y'all are amazing, thank you so much for watching! I know most of you are probably from Big Iron but Everything Happens Immediately, but still, thank you so much for subscribing! A few things of note as to what this means:

1. FACE REVEAL
As a part of Casual Backtracking 3, I will be including a section where I do a face reveal! I likely won't stream with a webcam much, but I might occasionally bring it on just for fun. (Cat reveal will happen too don't worry)

2: MONETIZATION
I have reached the subscriber milestone to unlock Monetization on my videos! My plan, however, is to NOT turn on ads for ANY VIDEOS released prior to the upcoming Casual Backtracking 3, for a few reasons. One is for history preservation purposes, two is so you can enjoy my content without ads, and three is because almost all my videos include some form of Nintendo music lol. So Big Iron won't be making my any money, but I might turn it on for future videos.

3: ANNIVERSARY STREAM
As usual, I will be streaming on May 12th, 2024 to mark my channels 3 year anniversary! I'll probably put out a poll as to which game I should play, but more than likely it'll be Zelda themed to keep up with the last few year's standards (Faces of Evil, TOTK, etc.)
