New Toyota Camry launched at Rs 48 lakh

New Camry is Rs 1.83 lakh pricier than the outgoing model
It is equipped with an ADAS suite for the Indian market
It also gets a new 230hp fifth-generation hybrid engine

New Camry is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with Toyota’s fifth-generation Hybrid System (THS 5). This updated setup has a total output of 230hp, which is about 12hp more than the outgoing model. Fuel efficiency has also improved compared to the outgoing model and is now an ARAI-rated 25.49kpl. Like other hybrids in the family, the Camry uses an eCVT gearbox.

BYD LAUNCHED It's Premium EV Sedan SEAL in India 😱

The Seal is available with two battery options – 61.44kWh and 82.56kWh. The smaller battery pack is paired with a single motor on the rear axle that produces 204hp and 310Nm of torque, and has a claimed range of 510km (NEDC cycle).

Variants with the larger 82.5kWh battery are available in both RWD and AWD configurations. In single motor RWD guise, the Seal produces 312hp and 360Nm of torque, while in dual-motor AWD configuration it produces 530hp and 670Nm of torque. Claimed range stands at 650km for the former and 580km for the latter.
Both batteries have BYD's patented blade technology.

The Seal is capable of charging at speeds of up to 150kW, with 10-80 percent charge taking 37 minutes, while a regular 11kW AC charger takes 8.6 hours to charge from 0-100 percent. The Seal is capable of Vehicle to Load (V2L) charging; BYD says you could use it for camping and outdoor activities.

BYD has launched the Seal electric sedan in India at Rs 41 lakh for the entry-level Dynamic variant, going up to Rs 53 lakh for the top-spec Performance AWD variant (ex-showroom, India).
