Bhonsale Sainik School and International School Host Investiture Ceremony: New Student Leadership Takes Charge

The Investiture Ceremony and Student Council oath-taking ceremony for the academic year 2026–27 was held in an enthusiastic and disciplined atmosphere at Yashwantrao Bhonsale Sainik School and International School, Sawantwadi. Organized with the objective of developing leadership qualities, discipline, and team spirit among students, the event marked the formal handing over of responsibilities to the newly elected student representatives.

The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome song, a march-past, the felicitation of student representatives, the oath-taking ceremony, and the honoring of tenth-grade students. The newly elected representatives took an oath to discharge their duties with honesty, loyalty, and dedication. Marking the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, students presented patriotic songs and paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland.

The student representatives for the Sainik school include Vikrant House Captain Cadet Jigyasa Kambali and Vice-Captain Cadet Brindhav Kotla, Arjun House Captain Cadet Sarvesh Pancharne and Vice-Captain Cadet Girija Chavan, Tejas House Captain Cadet Omkar Parab and Vice-Captain Cadet Khushi Rathod, and Brahmos House Captain Cadet Rudra Khot and Vice-Captain Cadet Anvi Patil. Additional appointments feature Mess Captains Cadet Viraj Bote (Boys) and Cadet Suhasi Kamble (Girls), Dorm Captains Cadet Aradhya Natekar (Boys) and Cadet Pooja Chavan (Girls), Cultural Heads Cadet Shiven Vijay and Cadet Durva Ghodake, Sports Captains Cadet Basangouda Kalburgi and Cadet Aastha Pawar, along with Head Boy Cadet Ranvit Ranjane and Head Girl Cadet Purvi Mane.

The secondary section representatives of Yashwantrao Bhonsale International School comprises Prithvi House Captain Aadish Gawade and Vice-Captain Madhura Dhargalkar, Agni House Captain Anurag Rane and Vice-Captain Aarohi Parab, Jal House Captain Sanket Rane and Vice-Captain Jenisha Patel, and Vayu House Captain Pragyesh Barge and Vice-Captain Pratham Pakhare. The primary section council features Prithvi House Captain Aryan Kanse and Vice-Captain Vivan Patil, Agni House Captain Riyansh Hawal and Vice-Captain Vignesh Ambapurkar, Jal House Captain Raj Desai and Vice-Captain Ojas Palkar, and Vayu House Captain Dhanesh Surana and Vice-Captain Ayan Dsouza, along with Head Boy Aditya Dhargalkar and Head Girl Aarushi Ghadi.

The ceremony was graced by several esteemed personalities, including Adv. Asmita Sawant-Bhonsale Chairperson of Shri Yashwantrao Bhonsale Education Society, Secretary Sanjeev Desai, Administrative Officer Sunetra Phatak, Chief Executive Officer Lt. Col. (Dr.) Ratnesh Sinha, Dr. Raman Bane, Principal, Yashwantrao Bhonsale Institute of Technology, Vice-Principal Gajanan Bhosale, Dr. Vijay Jagtap, Principal, Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy, Savio Fernandes, Principal, Yashwantrao Bhonsale Sainik School, Priyanka Desai, Headmistress, Yashwantrao Bhonsale International School and Vice-Headmistress Avantika Naik.A large number of parents were also present to witness the event.
