Welcome to She Roamz Free šŸŒāœØ

My name is Denicia. Last year, I walked away from Corporate America to take back control of my life. After years of chasing the grind, I chose healing, peace, and discovery over burnout.

As I travel the world, I share what it feels like to slow down, let go of old patterns, and find freedom in a new way of living. This channel is all about healing, mindset, and the emotional side of starting fresh.

Whether you’re navigating burnout, searching for clarity, or simply wanting to heal and grow, you’ll find stories, reflections, and tools to guide you along the way.

If you’re ready to heal, grow, and roam free this space is for you. šŸ’«

She Roamz Free

I’m currently in one of the most beautiful cities in the world Da Nang. Letting go of my stressful corporate job brought me so much peace and relief. Even though I was ready to move on, God and the universe still had to push me out through a carpal tunnel injury. I’ve been using this time to rest, heal, and reflect.

As grateful as I am to be here, I’d be lying if I said I feel completely fulfilled. The perfectionist and planner in me is still adjusting. My seven-year plan suddenly became a one-year plan. I left the U.S. because it had become too chaotic and heavy, and I needed peace. Da Nang was part of that plan but even in paradise, there’s still real life to deal with.

It’s not easy sharing your personal life and business on YouTube, but I promised myself to be honest. I don’t want to paint the picture that everything is perfect, because it’s not. Everyone goes through ups and downs no matter where you are in the world.

Right now, I’m blessed to have the support and time to figure things out. But there’s still a lot to worry about things back home, real estate, and rental properties that aren’t fully paid off or producing income yet. When an asset isn’t generating profit, you’re still the one covering the costs. It’s something I may open up more about in a future video.

And honestly, it can get lonely. Even with my spouse here, there are moments that feel quiet and isolating. So if you’re going through your own challenges, I want you to know you’re not alone. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments sometimes, that small connection makes a big difference.

Despite everything, I’m still choosing faith over fear. One day at a time. 🌿

Sometimes what we want isn’t what God or the universe has planned for us. Sometimes the things we go through are simply preparing us for what’s next.
But what happens when you no longer have the desire to do anything at all? Especially when you look around at everything happening in the world.

Growing up, I was teased for being chocolate. ā€œOh, she’s pretty… for a Black girl,ā€ people would say even by my own community. Comments about my hair being ā€œnappyā€ or all the different names thrown at me. I felt like I didn’t fit the standard of beauty.

Then I started traveling the world. After graduate school, I made it my mission to see the world, way before slow travel or meeting Phil, the love of my life. And you know what amazed me? In other countries, people are genuinely curious and fascinated by my Blackness, my hair, my skin. They admire it they want what I have. And it’s funny, because growing up, this look wasn’t considered popular. Even now, we still face struggles in our own communities, telling children that being dark means something is ā€œwrongā€ or ā€œless than.ā€ That narrative is deeply ingrained, and it starts so young.

But here’s the truth: I love who I am. I love my skin. I am beautiful. I don’t need anyone else’s compliment to validate me but yes, it does feel amazing to be fully seen and accepted for the skin I’m in. I am a Goddess. I am a Queen. I am unapologetically me.

Starting Over at 40: I Packed My Life Into 3 Bags to Chase a Better Lifeā€

At 40, I made a bold decision to start over. I downsized everything I owned into three bags, walked away from a six-figure career, and set out to travel the world in search of peace, freedom, and a better life. No perfect plan just faith, courage, and a desire for something different.

My goal is to inspire women who are ready to do something similar whether that means traveling the world, switching careers, or simply creating a new chapter in life. I want to challenge you, no matter your age, to believe that it’s never too late to start over.

It’s okay if your plan isn’t perfect what matters is that you begin.

If this journey speaks to you, I’d love for you to follow along. Watch the videos, like, and subscribe and let’s grow through this next chapter together. šŸŒāœØ

My entire identity used to revolve around my career being a Workday Consultant, and before that, a real estate and life insurance professional. But outside of those titles… who is Denicia? I never really knew. I built my life around what I did, not who I was. Letting go of everything and traveling the world has stripped away those labels and forced me to face myself. It’s uncomfortable, eye-opening, and freeing all at once. For the first time, I’m learning who I truly am because honestly, I never really knew before.

šŸŽ„ Wi-Fi Struggles While Traveling What We Learned!

So yeah we got here and we’re still running into technical issues. Yesterday we learned that even though the room shows a full Wi-Fi signal, it doesn’t actually work that well.

Here’s the fix: if you go downstairs to the lobby or head up to the bar area on the top floor, the connection is instantly better. Videos upload fast, and CapCut runs smoothly no issues at all.

On my phone, editing with CapCut has been fine, but the laptop is where we keep running into problems. We spoke with the manager at VOCO, and they’re sending an engineer to check it out.

What’s funny is this also happened to us back in Bangkok at the Holiday Inn Sukhumvit Hotel, so maybe we just have bad luck or maybe it’s because we always end up in a corner room! šŸ˜…

But honestly, this can be a serious problem if you’re staying somewhere long-term like 30 days or more especially if you’re working remotely and depend on a stable connection.

So here’s the takeaway: be patient, troubleshoot, and always have a backup plan like mobile data or a hotspot just in case that ā€œfree Wi-Fiā€ doesn’t deliver. 😩😳

I can’t remember the last time I felt this much peace. 🌓
Right now, I’m sitting at the highest level of our hotel by the pool, looking out at the mountains and the beautiful beach water. It’s surreal.

At the same time, I feel a little guilty guilty that I didn’t start this journey sooner. This has truly been a season of transition, and I appreciate every one of you who’s been following along and supporting me through it.

Sorry for the slight delay in videos this week we’ve been moving to a new location. But don’t worry, I’m currently working on two new videos that’ll be out this week!

šŸŽ„ One covers my biggest mistake yet how I accidentally spent $320 leaving Thailand (you won’t want to miss that one).
šŸŽ„ The other explains how to get a VAT refund basically free credit when shopping in Thailand and I’ll walk you through the entire process.

If you’re new here and want to follow my journey, make sure to subscribe and stay tuned for more adventures! šŸŒāœØ
