This week on #SaturdayInvennting, we take a hard look at the not-so-silly side of influence—how our daily choices, especially around food and movement, are often shaped more by social cues than our own wellbeing.

India’s rising obesity rates, particularly among women in urban areas, are not just a personal issue—they’re a public one. One that needs more than just willpower. It needs better city design, stricter food marketing rules, easier access to healthier options, and the collective will to prioritise long-term health over short-term convenience.

So here’s to choosing what’s right for you, even if the crowd is heading the other way.

Tata Trusts

No matter who we are, for every ‘thak gaye honge’, we all wish someone said ‘Jal Lijiye’. While many of us take availability of water for granted, the same is not true for a lot of families in India.

The gradual decline in the availability of consumable water often results in dire situations, especially for women in the rural areas, who have to walk miles for it. Tata Trusts is supporting the Jal Jeevan Mission that aims to empower rural communities including helping set up water and sanitation committees. Across villages, these Pani Samitis plan and operate water supply schemes that provide access to clean and safe water, a basic requirement for every human.

So, here’s to an India in which, no matter where you are, if you are thirsty, there is always someone with a glass of water saying ‘Jal Lijiye’.

Whether it’s Rahim chacha in Sholay or you when you have posted in a whatsapp group with friends, silence is usually a cause for concern.

This week on #SaturdayInVennting we explore the silence surrounding mental health. This silence speaks volumes about the stigma around the issue thereby preventing people from seeking the support they need. Breaking this barrier starts with open dialogue—normalizing conversations around mental health and emotional wellbeing is the first step towards healing and change.

"The dog ate my homework", says the little boy at school. Or your cat intensely attacks a laser beam like they have a long standing family feud. Silly, but oh so funny. Certain silly points, however, are not so 'silly'.

This week on #SaturdayInvennting, we shine the spotlight on one such silly notion that’s been hidden in plain sight all along— the belief that men don’t need to know about menstruation. Men play a huge role in supporting women to manage their menstruation with dignity. Whether it’s challenging outdated beliefs, supporting access to hygiene products, or simply listening without discomfort—every point counts.

So while certain silly points can take a crucial catch that wins a match, certain others should be dismissed like a rank long hop.

To every ‘tumhse na ho payega’ there’s been an underdog who has shown time and again that ‘apna time aayega’. Whether it's about making it in the rap scene, getting to scream your favourite artist’s songs from the front rows, or wearing your country’s name on your jersey. We’re a tribe of underdogs who never lose hope. This week’s #SaturdayInvennting celebrates that hope. One that young athletes from underserved communities carry in their heart—to proudly represent their country. Here’s to when their time comes, because we believe it will.
