Focus Structure
The main idea behind the streams on this channel is that I use my own app to help me understand the scientific topics I'm interested in. Since I built the app for this purpose, I naturally use it myself every day.
The image below shows the workflow I'll be following for future article discussions. It looks pretty simple, but once you actually try it, you quickly realize how much easier it is when you have a tool that helps you stay focused, organize your thoughts, and keep track of everything.
At first, I skipped the "Speak with an AI assistant" step because I was still getting used to this workflow. Now I think it's absolutely worth it. Talking through the article before the stream helps me get answers on some of the questions.
The goals of these streams are:
- stay motivated to study;
- understand papers more deeply without burning out;
- show how the Focus Structure Tool (FST) fits into a real research workflow;
- eventually turn these streams into discussions of papers suggested by subscribers, or even conversations with the authors themselves. I'm not there yet, but that's something I'd really like to do in the future.
