There is an indescribable joy that envelopes me as I choose to share my love of all things plants!

My home garden is on a 1/2 acre property in Clinton, MD, the mid-Atlantic, hardiness zone 7b. My garden style is cottage/ woodland and naturalistic, with an emphasis on texture and HYDRANGEAS!!! I love hydrangeas, roses and natives such as viburnum, redbud, sweetspire, joe pye weed, black-eyed susan and creeping phlox!

My love for plants and design has taken me internationally to tour gardens in Europe and the West Indies.

Hey Garden Friends! Looking for some suggestions for an area that I am RECLAIMING (meaning it is a MESS). It is under a cedar of maybe 20' tall. The area underneath is part-shade ( it receives about 6-7 hours north-eastern sun then reflective sun in the evening). I want to pack it with tough drought-tolerant perennials. I am looking for a prairie-style theme.
Any suggestions will be considered.
