Learn how to make a living as a designer!

Hey friend, my name is Alexey. I'm a UX designer, creator, and educator. I make content about product design and sometimes share advice on how to make a living as a designer. You can find design tips & tricks, and various tutorials on this channel. If that sounds interesting, don't hesitate to subscribe.

I'm a self-taught designer who started back in 2010. I have been working as a freelancer, full- and part-time for various companies and startups. When I'm not designing I usually play football, video games, or travel around the world.

It’s been a wild month as I have become a father for the second time. People who have children can imagine. But I will slowly start coming back to YouTube in a week 🙂I have many ideas for new videos, can’t wait to turn on the record button ⏺️

Hey guys! 👋🏻
In my next video, I'm going to talk about the design agency I founded earlier. This was one of my big goals for 2024 that I successfully accomplished (not like the other two). I've been having this idea for a couple of years and now it's live. I will tell about the process, the struggles I've been through, and my future plans too. I think it would be interesting for designers who also have a dream of creating an agency or design studio one day.

One of the easiest way to fill your portfolio with real projects is participating in various design contests.

The biggest advantage is that you don’t have to come up with something that no one wants and needs (yet). You get a real task to solve a real problem. And potentially you can earn some money as well!

In today’s video, I will show how you can design a website for the 99designs contest.

Hey! Don't worry I'm not lost. I had some travels in Austria. Went to Arnold Schwarzenegger's house and museum (see pics). But now I'm fully focused on design again. At this very moment, I'm busy with making the UX design course and planning new exciting content for you. It doesn't mean that I will focus solely on paid products. There will be plenty of free educational stuff on UX design in the coming months and weeks. Stay tuned!
