Ronan Horsemanship is built on one simple idea: the horse is always the best teacher.
What you'll find here is a collection of methods drawn from thousands of hours in the saddle, on the ground, and deep in the tradition of Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, and Buck Brannaman — a lineage that goes back centuries. These aren't techniques I invented. They're time-tested principles I've studied, practiced, and refined with every horse that I had the chance to start, train, rehabilitate or reeducate.
The approach works across breeds, disciplines, and temperaments. It prioritizes calm, respect, and gentleness — without ever losing sight of one non-negotiable: you can't be a good horseman if you can't keep yourself safe first.
This is more than a set of exercises. It's a way of thinking about horses, and about yourself. It's a way of life.

Une belle balade à cheval au pied des Rocheuses, près de Canmore. L'équipe du ranch Rafter Six nous a concocté un petit programme super sympa : sentiers de randonnées, dîner au feu de bois près de la rivière, de beaux échanges avec les guides, des chevaux chevronnés (même pour nos débutants) et des paysages à couper le souffle !

FR | Un arrêt très instructif au Centre du Patrimoine de la GRC, Gendarmerie Royale du Canada, plus connue sous le nom de Police Montée en Europe.
J'ai été surpris d'apprendre que la GRC avait préféré la selle de ranch californienne à la fameuse McLellan ou encore aux selles anglaises. La californienne est indéniablement plus confortable mais je m'attendais à un choix plus "classique" de la part de la GRC.

If you're a regular on my channel, you probably have already watched the video I just posted. It was first released in August last year. So, why am I reposting this? Am I that lazy?
Nope, no worries. YouTube has improved quite a lot of things recently, and I need to adapt in order to propose the best I can, and I'll keep improving quality of the videos in the future.
For now, I can post one video with multiple tracks, which means both French and English in the same release. It's a lot easier for the viewers, and it should help my channel to reach more people hopefully.

Si tu es un habitué de la chaîne, tu as probablement déjà vu ma toute dernière vidéo. Et pour cause, je l'ai publiée en août de l'année dernière pour la toute première fois. Alors, pourquoi est-ce je poste de nouveau la même vidéo ? Suis-je devenu feignant à ce point ?
Non, pas d'inquiétude. YouTube a amélioré pas mal de ses fonctionnalités récemment et je m'adapte pour te propose le meilleur de ce que je peux faire. Et je vais continuer d'améliorer la qualité de mes vidéos à l'avenir.
Désormais, je peux publier une vidéo avec de multiples pistes audio, ce qui veut dire que je peux publier en français et en anglais sur la même vidéo. C'est beaucoup plus pratique pour ceux les spectateurs et cela devrait aider ma chaîne à être connue et regardée par plus de monde si tout va bien.
Donc, merci d'être là, je t'invite à t'abonner si tu aimes ce genre de contenu et je vais continuer de republier les anciennes vidéos, mais aussi beaucoup de neuf dans les semaines à venir !
