I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the future of the channel and our community, and I want to loop all of you in. Once Human will **always** be my core game. It’s where this community started, it’s where my lore‑brain thrives, and it’s the world I love diving into with all of you.

But as the channel grows, I want to make sure we’re building something **stable**, **fun**, and **future‑proof**. That means expanding into a other games — “orbit games” that sit alongside Once Human without replacing it.
The goal is simple:

**Once Human = Home Base**
**Orbit Games = Extra Playgrounds**

🧪 NEW SERIES ANNOUNCEMENT: Once Human Field Studies 🔬
Alright Survivors… grab your notebooks, your questionable snacks, and whatever passes for “safety gear” these days, because I’m kicking off a brand‑new series on the channel:

📘 Once Human Field Studies
Short, cinematic story‑style dives into the Deviants that roam our broken world.

Each episode is a self‑contained field report, Part science log, part horror vignette, part “why did I decide to get this close to a deviant again?” energy.

And Episode 1 and 2 are already shaping up to be WILD.

🧠 Field Study 1: The Stardust Maniac (Already published)
The Stardust Maniac is a host, a walking incubator for a developing Cogitarid.
The skull cavity dissolves into a glowing jellylike mass.
The human mind is dying.
The parasite’s mind is being born.

Their behavior is chaotic because two brains are fighting for the steering wheel… and neither is sober.

“The Maniac isn’t the monster, it’s the shell. The Cogitarid is the real Deviant.”

This episode sets up the entire parasitic branch of the infection tree.

🔥 Field Study 2: The Charred Maniac (Comin Soon)
This poor soul is what happens when Stardust infection burns too hot, too fast.
Their skin? Cracked like burnt clay with ember‑glow leaking through the fissures.
Their movements? Twitchy, unstable, like their body is arguing with itself.
Their lore? A failed evolutionary path, the infection consumes instead of cultivates.

“Where the Stardust Maniac incubates a parasite, the Charred Maniac is what happens when the infection burns the host alive from the inside.”

And yes… we talk about how this smoldering disaster can still evolve into a Gnawer if the infection stabilizes. Because apparently things can always get worse.

The SHATTERED FRONTIER is online! Please join the Discord and reach out to me if you are interested in this experiment as I learn the custom server process. The devs will be opening up APIs in the future which will enable custom scenario and storyline building. This really throws me back to the early days when I used to build text based MUDs.
