Mt. Baker Mining and Metals was founded in 2011 by Jason Gaber. MBMM was born as a business to meet demand created when word of the Gaber’s ingenuity spread throughout the small-scale mining community, and grew to include jaw crushers, hammer mills, shaker tables and full turn-key integrated equipment systems.
MBMM grew quickly and enjoys a world-wide reputation for reliability as an American manufacturer of high-quality material reduction, classification, and gravity concentration equipment. Customers in the small scale mining, printed circuit board recycling, scrap metal, construction, and concrete/granite recycling industries have success with our machines.

🚨 This Changes EVERYTHING!! 🤯⚒️
Sometimes the biggest surprise happens AFTER the rocks leave the mine. 🤯
Last week, Jason and Harry were cutting ore in the MBMM rock shop when they opened up something incredible: “Mt. Baker Lightning Quartz” with BONANZA-GRADE GOLD in the pyrrhotite! 🔥
And some of this material could be in YOUR hands…
A bunch of this gold-bearing ore went into this year’s ORE BAGS before we recognized how rich some pieces could be. Every bag is different, but if you pick one up, give those sulfides another look! 🪨✨
Want to explore the ore yourself? Check out our ore bags—or grab one of the “Blaine Bags”, filled with miner Blaine’s hand-selected ore pieces—at the links below.
You’ll also find specimens, cabochons, and NEW slabs of the best of this gold-rich Lightning Quartz:

⛏️ We’re “JUICING” the ore bags with high-grade specimens! 🪨✨
Jason and Harry have been finding a lot of gold and tellurium specimens at the Mt. Baker Mine—and this year, some of those hand-selected pieces are going straight into the ore bags!
In past years, we’ve typically slabbed this kind of high-grade material and sold it separately as individual specimens. This year, we’re setting aside selected pieces to add to the bags, giving you a chance to find something special as you sort through your own batch of Mt. Baker ore.
We can’t wash and inspect every rock coming out of the mine, so there’s still plenty of exploring left for you to do. But as Jason and Harry find these high-grade pieces, they’re adding some extra excitement to the mix! ✨
🎥 Watch the Short to hear Jason explain why they’re going into the bags.
🛒 Check out the ore bags and other items on our eBay and Shopify stores:

If you found a beautiful gold-bearing specimen in your bag, would you keep it for your collection, slab it to see what’s inside, or crush it to recover the gold? Tell us in the comments! 👇
