Hey! I was just thinking about something neat, and I wanted to talk about it!
Coming up on 2 and a half years ago, the semester I graduated high school, I managed to secure the slot to anchor for my school's second-to-last video announcements before winter break. With a hand-picked crew and a plan, I played the first half completely straight, reading off some typical end-of-the-first-semester announcements...then, seemingly out of nowhere, I flipped the script and did something unheard of. So I did that, creating a prerecorded and home-edited second half, showing some cool stuff that had happened in the school that year, with the intent of inspiring hope for 2021.
I'm...pretty sure I broke every single video announcements rule/tradition that had been set, but I wanted to deliver something unforgettable, and...well, literally EVERYONE was talking about it afterwards, so I guess I succeeded!

For quite a while, I felt like I was stuck. I felt like I'd set too high a bar for myself with the savestates video that I couldn't top, and I just...couldn't make anything new because you expected better from me, but...seeing these new views roll in - and more importantly, the positive feedback I've gotten from even my non-canon videos - I genuinely feel better about making the short, dumb videos I like making. I feel comfortable actually making content again, which is something I haven't felt in two years.
It's really hard to put into words how much this all means to me. So wherever you came from - a corruption video, a shitpost, whatever - *thank you.* You sticking with me is helping me in ways I could never imagine two years ago.
More videos coming soon. Eventually, I'll have the confidence to actually drop Savestates 2. Or maybe even IPL part 6, who knows?
