Former Deputy Sean Grayson supposedly continued his interaction with Sonya Massey under the pretense that he needed to list the contact person on their report. (Despite dispatch already having her name -911 call for service ) After following her inside, he asks her what's her name? "Sonya," she responds. He then asks her for her last name, and in response, Sonya hesitates momentarily, allowing Grayson's to interject with yet another smartassed comment about knowing her last name or something, before saying "Massey" loudly and TWICE to Deputy Grayson, who apparently doesn't hear her despite standing a few feet away. This is largely because he is preoccupied staring at a pot heating on the stove. As if at the sound of a hypnotist snapping their fingers, Grayson returns to the interaction with Massey and then requests her I.D., claiming it would be "easier." Ms. Massey gives him a look of exasperation and loudly exhales, showing her impatience with his new request. Grayson appears childlike and somewhat giddy at this point, having likely decided the heating pot will be just the justification he needs to end her life. Ms. Massey seems to sense something is up and repeatedly looks at both officers, likely sensing an attack of some sort incoming. After directing Massey's attention to "one task at a time" and finding her ID, Grayson gestures towards the kitchen to his partner, which Sonya catches glimpse of. Inexplicably fearful of a fire, Grayson then points Massey to the stove and the heating pot. Grayson then slyly adopts a "quick draw" stance, hand ready to draw and fire, before making his final threats to Massey that "she'd better f*cking not, or he'd shoot her in her f*cking face," then doing exactly that.
Sean Grayson intended on shooting her and I will tell you why. From the moment Grayson starts yelling his threats of "YOU BETTER F*CKING NOT...." he changes from standing at the ready and issuing commands, to drawing his gun and aiming directly at Sonya Massey all WITHOUT HER EVER CHANGING POSITION FROM STANDING AT THE SINK ADDING TAP WATER TO THE POT. What changed in the moments he stood there with his gun holstered and threatening her, to actively aiming at her? Can Grayson explain what prompted him to DRAW HIS WEAPON at the EXACT MOMENT HE FINALLY DID DRAW IT? What happened that caused him to think "I had better get her at gunpoint right now?"
The answer: Nothing.
Sonya Massey next only reacted AFTER the former Deputy pointed his firearm at her.
How can she have been viewed as a threat worthy of gunpoint in one moment, yet only verbal threats in another when she is literally doing the EXACT same thing in each?
She is just standing at the sink adding tap water to the pot.
I will tell you one thing that virtually nobody has noticed or considered: When Ms.Massey removed the pot of water from the stove, she then carried it over to the sink where she turned on the tap and began to add tap water to the pot at the time Grayson is issuing his threats. Grayson can clearly see Ms. Massey adding tap water to the pot, which begs the question...just how hot did Grayson think that water was? And why would he consider her using boiling water as a weapon when he is watching her add tap water to the pot? Grayson is cooked.

Exhibit 2: Rosemont Public Safety Police purposefully reached out to Target Forensics to have all these "clarifications" and "enhancements" done to the Facebook Live video. Once again....simply to have YOU believe that they were being very thorough. Some of the requests made to Target Forensics originate from social media speculation, with absolutely no purpose in an actual professional investigation. It seems they were very much aware of the importance of obtaining authentic, native format files. Take a look at how they describe the files they sought from Facebook. But they didn't keep this same energy for the Crowne Plaza and the surveillance video footage huh? (If you read over this request enough times, you should begin to understand how comical of a "request for services" it really is)
Exhibit One: The Preservation Request A preservation request issued by a police department is worthless, and it has no legal enforceability. A preservation request or more appropriately... an "order" can only be issued by a sitting judge or magistrate in order to have any enforceability or legal weight at all.
Guess who knows this already but included a preservation request to CONVINCE you that they were interested in a correct, proper evidence collection process?

I am 100% certain that had a certain person(s) PUBLICLY challenged the surveillance videos and brought attention to police allowing the hotel to bring the footage to the station at their leisure, some people would be locked up right now.
Is it possible for someone to die of hypothermia if the core body temperature drops to let's say....95.8 degrees? What about 95.2 degrees? Who's to say Kenneka didn't die from a heart attack? Hypothermia without a core body temperature reading, is like saying someone is killed by a gunshot without ever locating a gunshot wound.
The Medical Examiner's role is to determine time, manner, and cause of death whenever possible.
