If you aren't saved than you should believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Act_16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Notice all the great characteristics of Apollos before he even spoke with Aquila and Priscilla.
Act 18:24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
Acts 18:25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
Acts 18:26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
1. Eloquent - Not a necessity but doesn’t hurt.
2. Mighty in the scriptures - So he must of knew the old testament very well.
3. Instructed in the way of the Lord - So he was teachable
4. Fervent in spirit - So he had much passion in speaking for the Lord. It was from the heart, not just a show.
5. Taught diligently - apt to teach
6. Spake boldly - So most likely very confident in the truth he had.
Notice what he went on to do after he humbly received correction from Aquila and Priscilla.
Acts 18:27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
Acts 18:28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
1.Helped them much which had believed - So he edified the saints.
2. Mightily convinced the jews - So he won some souls to Jesus Christ
3. He did it publicly - so he wasn’t folding in the persecution.
4. “Shewing by the scriptures” - he continued to use the scriptures that he was mighty in.
This story really shows me that just because someone can be way off and doesn’t know something that you know about the Bible…it doesn’t mean they aren’t a good man, love God, and are saved.
Just because someone doesn’t know something you know, may just mean they don’t know something you know. They may be fervent, bold, and mighty in the scriptures. I know of plenty of men that are way off on some doctrine but they are much smarter, wiser, better person, and better Christian than I am. They just need the humble heart to change their teaching in light of the scriptures on that topic. And at the same time, they may be humble and just genuinely convinced the scriptures are teaching that thing.
Don’t write someone off just because they don’t know all your favorite doctrines. If they are off on a serious doctrine, try to privately shew them the way of God more perfectly as Aquila and Priscilla did. If they don’t accept the scriptures in that area than pray for them to have a humble heart.
Sometimes it's like bible believers forget that teachers/preachers with bad doctrine also have souls. Look at his eyes, they move around. Stop and listen to him talk, that is breath coming out. It is a person you're dealing with…That Jesus Christ died for as much as he did you.

STOP SCROLLING AND READ THIS REAL QUICK
The entire body of Christ is important! If you’re reading this I want you to know that I’m not mad at you and I love you. I don’t wish anything against you, even if I’ve got mad at you or something you said. I genuinely believe you are important and the Lord wants you and needs you.
1Co 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
1Co 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
1Co 12:23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
Just like the parts of your body are all needed, the lord needs you, your in his body.
Among Bible believers we definitely have the sin of respect of persons. So much favoritism is shown to certain people. So much bashing of some and kissing up to this other one. The bashing is held in the disguise of …“well he is a heretic and we must mark those that cause division”. The kissing up is in the disguise of …“we must give him double honour”.
Jas 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
Every person who is saved, whether you like them, love them, hate them, can’t stand them…will be in a glorified body one day and live with you in eternity.
They are more related to you than your earthly family. Why spend so much time running them in the ground?
We get frustrated and mad with each other that is normal. But why publicly run the persons name in the mud?
Why pretend that this guy who comes in, smells funny, didn’t have a suit and tie on or your preferred religious clothing is not up on your pedestal? If he is saved, one day he will be clothed in fine linen white and clean.
Look past what you see on his flesh and realize that guy is going to be like the Lord!
1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Look past the fact that he didn’t have your fashion statement and that he will one day “be fashioned like unto His (the Lord’s) glorious body.”
If this guy you despise so much is saved, than he is your brother. I know that when I see someone publicly bashing their earthly brother…it looks really crummy. How much more for your brother in the Lord?
We are part of the same army. Too much friendly fire going on. You think highly of yourself many times, but I’m not going to say you’re “not that important”. Because you are very important! The body of the Lord Jesus Christ is important, your just not anymore important than any other part of the body.
We got to stop dragging each other down and encourage each other in the Lord. And build each other up.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION: YOU MAY HATE THIS NO DRAMA POST...
What spirit comes from your lips?
Job 26:4 To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
Mostly you hear words of envy, strife, and bitterness toward someone else.
James 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
James 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
How you should approach people..
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Each person you meet is someone’s kid, someone’s mom or dad, someone’s husband or wife. Each person you meet has a soul that will live forever somewhere. You should be good to them and try to give them an encouraging word or turn them to the truth in a kind way.
Are you good to both the old AND young men? Respect your elders but also the young men.
1 Timothy 5:1 Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;
Instruct but in MEEKNESS..(softness of temper, mildness, gentleness)
2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
Leave peaceably with people.
Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Answer with meekness..
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Follow peace..
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Your tongue does damage like weapons of war..
Proverbs 12:18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
Just try to be nice to people and put a smile on someone’s face tomorrow. There are times to be angry, Paul said "be ye angry and sin not." But I think on most occasions you can deal with people without getting angry.

This is a great sermon by Nathan Bemis. It makes you question your motive. Are you doing things with the right motive? I constantly pray to God before I do things for him, “help me to really be doing it for you”. Sometimes we are really doing things for ourself, even if it is a good thing. When we get to the judgment seat of Christ, he is going to “try every man’s work of what sort it is”. Why do you do what you do? Is it to make a name for yourself ? Is it to put your name out among the people? Or is it to exalt the name above every name?
