Greetings to you all, and welcome to ArtegaOmega!

I play strategy games the way they deserve to be played: slowly, sarcastically, and with questionable tactical decisions.

You’ll mostly find full-length Let’s Plays of classic PC games — especially real-time strategy and retro titles from the golden era — but every now and then I dive into challenge runs, deep-dive analysis, or anything else that seems like a good idea at the time.

Right now I’m working through Command & Conquer: Generals, but I’ve also covered other RTS gems and plan to explore more from the Westwood and Blizzard archives. The goal is simple: thoughtful gameplay, dry commentary, and no unnecessary noise.

New videos every 3 days(ish), so stick around if that sounds like your kind of thing — or start with the C&C series playlist and work your way from there.

Thanks to Partners in Crime for providing the intro video template!

Went to upload the next video in our challenge series only to find out that my microphone wasn't recording!

Rather than upload a silent video I've decided to re-do that particular episode, but that does mean that today's video is delayed until (hopefully) tomorrow.

I'm also kind of sick so apologies in advance for my voice D:

Fun fact for everyone, I was offered my first paid sponsorship today :O

It was for an x-rated visual novel type game.

I declined.

I had some free time so decided to record something slightly more involved once again. It's a brief departure from C&C Generals but here's hoping you'll think it's worth the detour.

It'll be coming out this time tomorrow, so consider your appetites well and truly whetted. Hopefully you'll join me for that, and I shall, see you then.

Got something a little different coming up tomorrow, a quick dive into a lesser known fighting game:

Evil Zone

I had some free time so thought it might be fun to knock up more of a review-style of video, as I've done previously for a random assortment of indie games. We'll call it an experiment, but I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.

Hopefully you'll join me for that, and I shall see you then.

So... embarrassing admission coming up.

I've been recording my videos since I returned using the wrong encoder. Basically I've been running off of CPU power rather than GPU. That explains why Generals has felt particularly blocky during the opening cinematics and moments of fast movement.

I've corrected it now, but parts 3 and 4 have already had their gameplay captured, so you'll have to put up with the low quality for a little while longer.

Sorry about that D:

In my C&C Generals Tutorial video I posted a comment asking if you preferred a rapid instant-cutting video that hopped from action to action, or the classical unedited long-form videos that I used to upload.

Overwhelmingly the response came back that you prefer the unedited format, and since this channel observes the proper democratic process, I shall be making the C&C Generals series in the old style.

Hopefully you'll join me for that, and I shall see you then.

Long time no see.

I may have gone ever so slightly MIA but I wanted to reassure everyone that I am, in fact, still alive.

To talk earnestly for a moment, I had some real life issues that took over for a while and left me in the wrong headspace for jovial sarcastic video commentary. Things have moved on however, and I'm pleased to say that I'm hoping to make a semi-regular return to uploading; probably at a slower pace than I used to, but we'll see how we go.

A tremendous thanks to everyone who has and continues to support the channel. I've got a video scheduled for later tonight, so hopefully you'll join me for that and I shall see you then!

Hey everyone. Been busy recently as you can probably gather so video output has been rather limited.

Tonight marks the first of the Yuri's Revenge one unit challenge but I'm also aware that Tiberian Alternative, the sequel to the stunning Red Alert Alternative, has been released as well! I'm hoping to play it as soon as my schedule allows so look forward to that coming soon.

Apologies again for the delays in uploading as of late!

Uploaded a new Yuri's Revenge video tonight but something seems to have gone wrong with the audio. Shouldn't be a big deal as I've double checked and the original copy on my PC is fine, so maybe just an issue uploading?

Will try again and get it out to you soon. Youtube will take hours to process even after it's uploaded though so I'm afraid it'll have to be tomorrow now :(

My apologies!

A huge thanks to everyone's continued support lately! I'm glad to say that the cough which has plagued me for seemingly forever has finally passed, and so I can record again without hundreds of pauses and/or blowing out your eardrums. Huzzah!

Seriously though, your support is what motivates me to keep recording these videos. Because of that, it seems only fair to reward you with what you've all been waiting for. That's right, The Little Mermaid will be live momentarily.
