My musical mission is to literally "carry on where the ancients left off" in continuing to create new music, for the recreated ancient lyres & kithara of antiquity, using the distinctive expressive qualities of the ancient musical modes, heard in the pure focus of authentic, ancient just intonation.
This channel is my essential vehicle for this 'musical adventure in time travel' - it is entirely thanks to the video comments & suggestions of you, my much valued subscribers, that my new music has been continually forged, refined and ultimately released on my many albums, available from all the usual digital music platforms, painstakingly indepenently produced since 2008.

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the recent reduction in uploads - rather like what caused the collapse of the Roman Empire, I'm currently concentrating on consolidating rather than endlessly expanding my own 'musical empire'!
In particular, I am concentrating on promoting some of what I consider to be my higher quality albums on Spotify, which through random chance, regrettably did not fair as well in streams as other of my ' lesser' releases! Throughout August ,I am promoting my 2023 release, 'Musica Lyra' - an ancient Roman-themed album, whose tracks were actually inspired from themes of Stoic Philosophy...do please 'spread the word'!
Having no record company to do my tedious promo stuff, each & every new Spotify playlist featuring my music is another invaluable means by which unfamiliar ears out there become familiar with my 'New Ancestral' musical mission - thanks once more, for your invaluable support!

Regrettably, my recent attempts to try creating CD's manufactured on demand hit a technical brick wall 😞
If only I had been born a few decades earlier (& maybe could even text with 2 thumbs etc!), I might have been able to work through these issues, but with what wil be 40 releases in June, it would take the rest of my life to put all my digital albums onto CD & Vinyl.
Studio quality audio from all my releases with accompanying PDF booklets of my detailed album notes are still thankfully always going to be available from Bandcamp - thanks again, everyone, for all your invaluable support!
