friendly reminder that service dogs have off days
yesterday willow was having a bit of an off day idk why but my first thought was that she was regressing altho i know that is very unlikely i was disappointed thinking i did something wrong but she was still doing alerts fine her focus was just off and i know that this is to be expected sometimes with a SD

i'm SO happy to finally be posting this as a lot of ppl know willow has been very close to 'fully train' she is now there under the ada she has been 'fully trained' for at least 2 months but lets talk about what this means so in MY opinion once a dog is considered 'fully trained' this does not mean all training stops in fact with willow we will most likely keep up with daly training and if i find a task that i think may be beneficial to my disabilities i will try to teach it and this will not put her back to in training yes it may seem that willow has finished SD training fast but before we even started she knew things like basic obedience and an ok heal and she was pretty natural to HR alerts witch would have taken the longest to teach but she was getting consistent with alerting after only 2-3 weeks and has had that mastered for quite some time now so all this to say !Willow is now 'fully trained'! EDIT:she has been in training for a year and a half.
