For those who haven't noticed, when I released my 4 year return anniversary video yesterday, I revealed a new, updated channel banner! I felt an update was severely in need, given how bland it looked before. It's not a lot, but I feel it looks significantly better, and better reflects the future content I want to make for this channel.

Whilst Tokusatsu will still be the majority focus of the videos I make for this channel, like I have in my newest video and have in videos since my return to this channel 4 years ago, I still want to talk about pieces of media outside of Tokusatsu. I want this channel to reflect the person I am outside of it - while Tokusatsu is without a doubt my biggest interest (and has been for 10 years now), it's far from being my only one. I enjoy things like PreCure, LEGO Ninjago, Minecraft, Pokémon, and many more!

In time I also wanna try collaborating with other people again (after doing it properly only once 2 years ago), and eventually maybe TRY livestreaming if I can figure that out. Both from a technical angle AND a personal angle - I'm not GREAT at coming up with stuff to talk about completely on my own, but given the right motivation I can definitely be a yapper.

I hope this new banner makes more clear than the previous banner that I want to do more than JUST Tokusatsu videos, and I hope that y'all valid peeps will come to view and enjoy the diversified content!

So for those who haven't seen my newest video, I made an important announcement about myself. If you haven't, please do, it's one I've put a lot of time and effort into!

Four years ago when I returned to this channel, I came out as a transgender. A couple weeks after going to Pride earlier this year though, I developed a new perspective on my gender identity. While my pronouns (she/her) are still the same, I’m not really set on any labels for my gender anymore. I still consider myself to be transfem, but I’m no longer a woman, though if you accidentally call me one I won’t take any offence, and I’m still good with being referred to with feminine terms. The same goes with my boundaries on certain masculine terms.

Unbelievably, the final preparations I had to make for my 4 year return anniversary video only took me yesterday and today, so this week's video update post is today rather than on Thursday! I've given the thumbnail another update - replacing Sora with Superman; I still talk about both characters in the video, but I felt the latter would be more recognizable to most people. I uploaded the video to the channel today, surprisingly without ANY copyright issues! Given all the footage I DID use, I was expecting to get flagged for SOMETHING, but it seems I edited it well enough to avoid any extra editing!

With that, I of course also wrote the description and prepared the cards for the video, along with some other stuff that'll be going out around the time of the video related to it, including a personal announcement! With all of that being said, the video will be coming out here next Tuesday (14th October) at 6pm BST, but if you're on Patreon, you'll be able to view it a day early (Monday 13th October at 6pm BST), along with gaining access to an exclusive document of notes I made while I was scripting the video!
