Update time once again: finally got the piece I need from Amazon annnnnnnd... it didn't work. So that sucks. But the odd thing is I tried using OBS to record audio earlier and strangely enough... it seems to be having the same problem. Huh... almost as if it's not audacity but maybe... the microphone? I hope that's not the case since that's going to be expensive to replace if that is the case but maybe if I can find a good sale? I'll keep everyone posted but that may be what's going on.
Oh no... okay so... I just found out that apparently: there's a new Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer game! Why does this matter you ask...? Because my fourth most viewed video on my channel just so happens to be my Let's Play video of Rudolph on the Wii! Crazy I know... so. That just leaves the question: should I do a Let's Play series of this new one? I won't pay $39.99 for it don't get me wrong... but if it goes on sale...? What do you guys think? Some good news: I THINK I have figured out the audacity problem. Keyword: think. Only problem now? I have to wait for my adapter to come from amazon. See the TV I was using in my old setup had a headphones jack so I could plug it directly into my tv and always keep the computers volume at max while I control everything else with my remote so it was never to loud for me. The new tv? No headphones jack… yay. Thankfully Amazon has an adapter so I can use the USB port so… worth a try I guess? Worst case scenario it doesn’t work I get my money back. Going to be a serious pain having to switch USB devices (I use an RCA to HDMI device to plug my older consoles into the elgato) but whatever it takes. Maybe if I’m lucky I’ll win enough money I can upgrade to a better TV with more than one USB.
Okay... the audacity mystery has a sudden and very weird twist: when I try watching one of the recent livestreams where I noticed a problem with my mic... it sounds perfectly fine and normal on my phone. Yet when I watch it on my computer everything's all quiet and almost muted... what? How is this even possible? What the actual heck is going on here? Does anyone else use audacity and have a possible reason as to why this would be?
