Recipe for “WHOLE WHEAT PIZZA CRUST” 🍕👩🏻🍳🥰✨ INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR THE CRUST: Whole wheat flour: 200 grams Oats flour: 60 grams Vinegar: 1 tablespoon Olive oil: 1 teaspoon Yeast: 1.5 tablespoons Salt: 2 teaspoon Sugar: 1 teaspoon Onion powder: 1 tablespoon Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon Room temperature water: As required
PROCESS TO FOLLOW: 1. In a bowl combine the sugar, yeast, and warm water. Stir it around and let it sit for 5 minutes or until the yeast is foamy and dissolved. This is called "proofing" the yeast. If the yeast doesn't dissolve, your yeast is dead. Start again with active yeast. 2. In a large mixing bowl add wheat flour, oats flour, garlic powder, onion powder, vinegar, olive oil, Salt, sugar and start rubbing it until vinegar and olive oil mixed well with the flour. 3. Once done add water as required and start kneading it until it all comes together. After kneading, your dough should be smooth and elastic. Poke it with your finger - if it slowly bounces back, your dough is ready to rise. If not, keep kneading. 4. Cover the dough with a wet Muslin cloth and let it rest for atleast 30 minutes or 1 hour. 5. After 30 - 1 hour, Punch the dough down to release the air. It will deflate. 6. Cut the dough into 2 or 4. 7. Preheat the oven at 250 C for 10 minutes. 8. Flatten each ball of dough 1 at a time on a lightly floured surface or directly onto your cornmeal lined pizza pan/baking sheet. 9. Lift the edge of the dough up to create a lip around the edges. 10. Top with your favorite toppings, like sautéed veggies, chicken, pepperoni, Cheese etc. 11. Bake for 15 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned. I kept my pizza in the oven for 16 minutes because I like a toasty crust. 12. Slice hot pizza and serve immediately. Store leftover pizza covered tightly in the refrigerator and reheat as you prefer.
