Monarch seemingly decides who it appears to. It tends to target players who are newer to the game, seemingly in an attempt to prey on the uninformed. Due to the current state of the meta, these players often happen to be alone. Either way, only the player Monarch is targeting will be able to see it.

Monarch will at first take the form of a “tip” system near the top right of the screen. It will offer random, miscellaneous tips throughout gameplay alongside positive affirmations. The longer the player lasts, the more advanced and helpful these tips will become.

Eventually, though, Monarch will start to offer tips that subtly benefit itself. Specifically, it will disguise its summoning sequence within other pieces of advice. The exact summoning method is going to be omitted for safety, but an example of one of these tips would be a recommendation to use items in a specific order, this pattern being a necessary step in summoning Monarch.

When the player has been tricked into fully summoning it, Monarch will quickly rush in from offscreen and attack the player’s toon. From here, the player will be forcefully kicked - receiving error 273.
