Most people would've stayed home... but we knew those were PERFECT striped bass conditions! 😎

This trip was extra special because we took my in-laws out to experience their VERY FIRST striped bass bite... and several of them landed their first legal striped bass!

Of course, fishing always keeps you humble...

My brother and I hooked into what felt like an absolute MONSTER, but after an intense fight... it got away. 😭🎣

We still brought home 4 beautiful stripers and wrapped up the day by making some incredibly fresh striped bass ceviche!

We couldn’t even reset our lines before another kokanee slammed the rod… 🎣😳

What started as a quick fishing trip with my wife turned into one of the craziest kokanee bites. Double hookups nonstop, barely any downtime, and honestly… we could’ve easily limited out.

But this trip wasn’t about numbers ❤️
It was about enjoying the moment, being out on the water together, and ending the day with homemade sushi rolls made from our fresh catch 🍣🔥

8 kokanee + 1 trout later… this became a trip we’ll never forget.

After tracking storms, mountain temps, snow melt, and ground moisture, my wife and I packed up and headed into the forest hoping the mushrooms finally exploded.

Some spots looked unbelievably promising…

Others felt like we missed it by DAYS 😳

We covered multiple elevations, searched deep pine forests, and put our mushroom timing theory to the test. Then we brought our finds home and turned them into one of the best pizzas we’ve ever made 🔥🍕
