킷사텐이란 빛바랜 사진처럼 오래된 카페를 말해요. 나이가 지긋한 주인이 정성 들여 내리는 커피가 있고 재즈 혹은 클래식이 흐르며 테이블과 의자는 칠이 벗겨지고 색이 바랬습니다. 커피 말고도 샌드위치 나폴리탄 메론소다 푸딩을 팔아요. 잔잔한 고독이 흐르는 곳입니다. 혼자 가면 더 좋고요. 주의하실 점은 현금만 가능하고 간혹 흡연이 가능하기도 합니다.

A kissaten is an old-fashioned Japanese café, like a faded photograph from the past. An elderly owner carefully brews coffee by hand, while jazz or classical music gently plays in the background. The tables and chairs show their age—worn paint and faded colors. Besides coffee, they also serve sandwiches, Napolitan spaghetti, melon soda, and custard pudding. It’s a place where quiet solitude lingers in the air—perfect for visiting alone. One thing to note: many kissaten only accept cash, and some still allow smoking.
