Hey everyone, I know I’m super far behind on releasing my next video. Work has been absolutely insane, and I’ve been working 70-80 hours a week for the last several weeks. Not spectacular lol, but because of all those hours spent writing code, I’ve learned a lot of new things I plan to eventually share with you, and I’ll have a couple new apps on github soon you can use in your own orgs!

Today I have a very personal request though, an old friend of mine has a brain tumor that is destroying her quality of life and could potentially kill her, and her medical insurance won’t cover the cost to remove it because it’s been deemed a pre-existing condition.

I have already had one of my childhood friends die due to a brain tumor, I don’t wanna see another one have the same fate. Please, if you have even a couple extra dollars to spare, as a favor to me for creating free content for years and never even once asking for a dollar in return, please help save an old friend of mine. It will make all these years making videos worth it, and I will be forever grateful to the Salesforce community for helping save my friend.

You can donate at the link below, anything, big or small will help, and thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

Hey everybody!

In ~20 minutes I'll be hosting an AMA for ~1 hour about my journey to pass the #salesforce CTA Board. This will be the ONLY time I discuss the CTA Board in a setting like this, so if you have any questions make sure to join and ask away! I hope to see you all there!

DISCLAIMER: I cannot, and will not answer any questions regarding what was on my board, who my cta judges were, what scenarios were most representative of the actual CTA board, etc.

See you soon!

P.S. - If you had the old link, I had to update it unfortunately, so make sure you use this new video link!

Coding With The Force

Hey everyone, long time no post! Lol, for those of you that have been wondering why for the last couple of years my videos have been so sparse, it’s because I have been determined to achieve the Salesforce CTA cert, and as of last week we officially got it done! Thank you all so much for your support throughout the years, I honestly could not have done it without all of you! Your support has meant the world to me!

And now that the journey is finally over, it’s time to get back to makin videos every month again (hopefully every week).

So I’ll be starting with a live AMA on Tuesday where you can ask me whatever you’d like about my experience (with the exception of questions relating to the actual CTA scenarios I took, any details about those will not be shared), then, later that same week the LWC Master Class will be resumed, and the following week… The Apex Design Patterns tutorial series is making a comeback!

I’m excited to finally get back to making videos on a regular basis, and I hope you’re excited for them to be back! See you all again soon!

Coding With The Force

Hey Everyone! I hope you’re looking forward to the start of my LWC masterclass videos that I’m gonna start posting next week! While I work on that though, I have another question for you all!

I’m considering creating month long in-person virtual college type classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced developers because I would like to teach full time and make this my job every day!

We would meet several times a week, you would get homework, and there would be a capstone type project at the end of it. I would grade that work myself, give you feedback, and offer office hours. It would be significantly cheaper than all other in person training I’m aware of, but the cost of the course would be ~$1500-$2000 (again for a full month of classes and reviews, etc). Please let me know below if you all are interested, and any feedback you may have in the comments!

I’m considering live streaming myself doing Salesforce development every other Monday. If I did, what would you prefer to see me build? Feel free to comment other ideas as well!

Hey everyone! I know I'm a little behind on makin videos, but it's only because I have been taking an enormous amount of time to VASTLY improve my YouTube setup. Learning how to setup and operate better lighting, camera, and recording equipment wasn't as simple as I had hoped lol. The first picture is my new setup, and the second picture is my old setup, pretty significant I think! I'll be back to making videos starting tomorrow, and please, let me know what you think of the new setup!

Coding With The Force

Hey everyone! I have several updates for this week, so let's get into it!

1) I am significantly upgrading my home studio to provide higher quality video and audio in my future videos, due to me spending an enormous amount of time researching and setting all this up I am a bit behind on my newest video so it has been delayed until next week.

2) This year I'm going to be introducing several new content creators to the channel to help produce more high quality free Salesforce tutorials! Tomorrow the first of these videos is going up! Daniel Soileau has a video premiering over some of the best ways to mass delete records in Salesforce using Apex! It's extremely well done imo so I hope you all enjoy it!

3) Expect another LWC Quick Tip this Friday and every Friday going forward!

4) Finally this evening I'll be live streaming some Unity development at 9pm CDT over on my Moonrise Mountain game dev channel, feel free to come hang out and ask me about anything Salesforce related if you want. I will likely be live streaming there most Tuesday and Wednesday nights if you're interested, so make sure to subscribe and turn on notifications there if you're interested in it. Hopefully I'll see some of you there!

Hey everyone I have TWO exciting things to share with you! The first is that next week I will start releasing Salesforce development tutorials again! The video next week will be "The Complete Guide to Apex Tests"! I hope you're all looking forward to it!

The second big update is that each week (including tonight at 7:00pm CST) I will be doing development live streams over on my other channel where I'm building out my Unity game Moonrise Mountain! If you want to see how I learn how to code, watch me struggle to build the vision I have in my head and then get way to excited when I figure it out, then come on over and hang out! You can interact with me and ask any questions about Salesforce or Unity or just have a conversation with me.

I look forward to hopefully seeing a lot of you there tonight, and I'm so very happy to be back making videos again! See you all soon!
