Families in the scriptures teach us timeless lessons about love, faith, and loyalty.

📖 In the Book of Mormon, Lehi and Sariah faced hardship as they left Jerusalem and journeyed into the wilderness. Their family didn’t always see eye to eye, but through their faith in the Lord, they found strength to press forward toward the promised land. Their story reminds us that families today can endure challenges with greater hope when we turn to Jesus Christ.

📖 In the Bible you can read about Naomi, a woman whose husband and two sons died. Her daughter-in-law, Ruth, refused to leave Naomi to fend for herself in a time of famine. She said:
“Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.” (Ruth 1:16).
Ruth’s love and loyalty for Naomi can be your inspiration for building strong family relationships in your own life.

📖 And in the New Testament, we learn of Mary and Joseph who cared for the Savior, Jesus Christ. Though they faced uncertainty and difficulty, they showed humility, obedience, and deep devotion. Their example shows us how faith-filled parenting and Christ-centered love can nurture children and bless generations.
Families may look different today, but the same truths remain: love, faith, and loyalty can bind us together forever.

Jesus Christ lived and died and lived again. Before him, it was unheard of. When Christ raised the dead during his earthly ministry, onlookers were amazed. But the greatest miracle of all, His Resurrection, changed our lives and the lives of all God’s children forever. Because He rose from the grave, so will we.

Comforting His friend who just lost her brother, Christ said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25).”

What is the meaning of life? That’s a big question to try to answer in one little post! But we’ve got some hints for you.

Basically, it starts by knowing you’re a child of God and He sent you here to earth for a reason.

He also sent Jesus Christ here to help you fulfill your purpose. As our Savior, Christ overcame sin and death for us. He taught us the way to eternal life and gave us the perfect example to follow. If you’re not sure what God wants you to do, the right answer always ties back to following Jesus Christ.
