It all began when the earth was shattered.

Now, people live on islands in the sky, tethered only by magic to the remnants of the earth below. But despite the fragile peace they’ve found, something is about to go horribly wrong.

The book follows Nyssa, a 12 year old mage who is forced into hiding by the Magical Inquisition, a movement that seeks to capture and kill all mages— people born with eyes clouded by magic. 👁️🔮

As she flees for her life, Nyssa finds herself in the midst of a small group of ragtag heroes: a former rebel long past his prime, a barbarian-sized bard with strange tattoos and a flying ship, a masked renegade who calls herself “the Weeping Woman”, and in the distance, a strange creature, watching them from the shadows… following them. 🌑💀

But as they try and survive, they’re faced with a dilemma: do they keep running… or stand and fight? ⚔️
