In February, we were excited to welcome Nathan Slavens to our team as our new Farm Production Supervisor. In his role, Nathan is charged with overseeing all things related to chemical inventory and applications. Since TSP does its own applications, it comes with an extensive list of chemicals to keep track of. This also means that Nathan will be scouting fields for any weed, disease, and/or insect pressure that would need to be addressed and then coordinating applicators to address those fields.
Nathan came to us from Purdue University, where he received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in Agronomy, specifically Crop and Soil Management. In his free time, Nathan enjoys golfing, fishing, kayaking, and just spending time outdoors.
When asked what drew him to TSP, Nathan stated, "With TSP growing so rapidly, it seemed like a place I could grow with. I feel like there is a lot of opportunity to grow within the company as the company keeps expanding at the rate it has been." Nathan also reflected on how his first couple of months on the team have been, saying, "TSP has been great; it feels like a family atmosphere. Everyone seems to help where help is needed while also providing a positive attitudes. Everyone I have met at TSP has been more than welcoming and helpful with any questions I may have. I am grateful to be able to work alongside everyone and be a part of this great group of people."
We are thrilled to have Nathan on Team TSP, and we look forward to seeing him grow in his role for years to come!
