Still feels crazy to say we’re playing shows like these. And the show we’ve been rehearsing & crafting is turning to something we’ve never felt so good about. It’s become our sanctuary, our rehearsal room. This place where we all come alive together. Playing all these new songs has so much weight & excitement, and I have a feeling these shows are gonna be pretty special.
SAVEYOURSELF OUT NOW // MAHJONG EVERYWHERE AUGUST 28
“Saveyourself” is us tripling down on our goals of being filmmakers. The other half of what really drives & inspires this entire band & team is film. And one day we’ll have gained enough skill & experience to tackle a full length feature and get that shit in theaters. That is the goal man. At least, the other half of the goal. Episode 3 pushed us further towards that goal. The song itself was written FOR the episode instead of the other way around. But we still knew we had to make a great rock song in the process. And after many tries & trials, we finally hit the perfect presentation for Episode 3 of How Long Is Forever that we are all extremely proud of and can feel a little closer to these goals we have.
Today we also announce the release date for our next album, Mahjong. Which has too much to tell for today, so I think I’ll save those feelings for another day. Just know, I love this record so much that I still need a little bit to let it go. But I know it will impact some lives the way it has ours.

Leigh is doing what I always hoped she’d do. She’s reaching the people that need it and inspiring a vulnerability to create art in any and all forms. And I couldn’t be more proud. And I can’t begin to thank you all enough for such a warm response.

This one was tough. This one was different. This one was chosen to lead the charge for the next album & era. This one is the full representation of what happened over the winter. After the success of Mantras last year, some of the best things that ever happened to me were happening. But so did the worst. Before Leigh, we’d already written most if not the entire next record. But something still wasn’t speaking fully to how otherworldly I was feeling.
The world outside my home started to become what I’d always dreamed of. While the world inside my home was turning into a nightmare. It was the most complex time of my life. And I am forever in debt to all those in the band, those a part of the team, and my wife and brother that kept me going through such an insane duality period.
This song & video is every single piece of us. Every single bit of what we have to offer as artists and humans. It’s been a rough week to let this one go. My North Star. My Leigh. But it’s time for it to go help others and see if it can reach the people it needs to reach.
