What’s up lovely people! Thank you to everyone who’s subbed in the past year, it’s been a long road to this point but I’m happy to say I finally got my teeth addressed, and am in the process of learning to speak with temporary healing dentures over the next several weeks.
That said, I have the next script written, and am finally getting back to work on the channel with a fresh long-form video. I’ve only released 2 real meaty videos in the past year, the first year I actually got serious about YouTube….
Life is life and there will always be roadblocks and obstacles, but nothing should stop you from pursuing that which you’re passionate about…
The need to narrate my video clearly will definitely focus my mind and body on healing up so I can deliver a quality performance, and maybe even appear on camera in 4k once I have the confidence..
Teeth are a big deal and my teeth held me back for almost 2 decades, but not anymore.
(In the pic the bottom denture is out so I have a ways to go, but considering I got 8 teeth pulled to get here I’m feeling fantastic)
Love you guys, thanks for being patient, it’ll be worth it as long as you like Mario World and Pokémon Gen 1 content.
Please, 🙏 please, I beg you to share it with anyone who’s into retro gaming. I’m going to hit up the Reddit guys since they’re great about helping out with this type of thing.
I just need the video to get a little traction and it will snowball at some point.
Good morning you beautiful subscribers of mine. Here it is: a brand new 2 hour SM64 retrospective, as promised. It took waaaaay longer than expected an the next time can thankfully be made within a week or so. It's time for this channel to grow, and the only way for that to happen is A. I keep cranking out good content and B. my audience (you) tells everyone they can about Okla-soft. anyone who like retro games and N64 should enjoy this. Spread the word please. Subscribe if you haven't, I'm already starting on the next one,
Happy to report that after a RAM swap in addition to a PSU upgrade, my white editing mininITX rig is up, running, and stable.
I played through about 15 stars in SM64 to gather footage.
The system still locked up playing GTA 5, which fully thermally throttled my poor little rig.
I sadly had to lose the RGB ram and swap it out for some tighter timed 16GB (x2) dimms from TeamGroup.
There’s an app called “intel extreme tuning utility” that basically told me me graphics card was hitting its thermal wall, even though all temps stay well below 60C under load.
Then I went to film the AMD build and we have a dead AsRock b850i motherboard, so that along with the 7800x3D went back. I’m done buying asrock boards for now, it’s gonna be another asus mini ITX, at least I know this one will post, and I can save $370 by just using the AMD 5600g. It’s a budget chip but it’s fast enough for my use case. 7800x3D might not have been the right choice, I learned mostly after buying it.
I just want a decently fast little black AMD rig compliment my whiten build.
Anyway, stay tuned for some actual game content. I got a switch 2, but games are expensive and all my extra cash is tied up on these stupid computers.
Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of produced video game videos, but this latest upload is at least edited….but it’s a PC repair video. You might not be into computers is you sub to me, and don’t worry, this isn’t turning into that but the two go hand-in-hand for me. I game on both devices, but prefer to game on a console, solely for stability reasons.
This is an in-depth video documenting me fixing/upgrading our editing rig over two days. Last night and this morning. We found our fix within minutes this morning and I documented the process, talking about the challenges of building and maintaining a small-formfactor PC with high end components. My experience with the i9 so far has been it’s a super fast chip that just happens to lock up as soon as I throw my GPU on it.
All this work is so I can play 120 stars without losing the entire file, which is how mp4s work. Needless to say I’m weary of putting in heavy work on an unstable system, and may yet have to just make this video without the benefit of an 8GB A750.
It could also be the card itself, so next lockup I’ll throw the 5060ti on it to rule out the specific card.
Event viewer shows a generic PCI error code and device manager has yellow warnings on hardware with no drivers.
Enough rambling.
Either way I have at least 1 more brand new PC with all brand new sealed parts to assemble. That’s on tomorrow’s menu along with some switch 2 streaming.

Comment down below if you know the song….
“Anything” by #3eb third eye blind
Anything for you,
Turn my castles blue
Turn my bones to sand
Just to see you
I'll give you anything
I'll give you anything
I'll give you anything
Jackie O with the top down open
All the words to what's unspoken
I put together everything that's broken
Just to see you
I'll give you anything
I'll give you anything
I'll give you anything
Jackie O with the top down open
A king's horse for what's been broken
I'll bring back even what's unspoken
Just to see you
I'll give you anything
I'll give you anything
I'll give you anything.
