So…this whole time I’ve made a different channel where I edited people’s Demon Slayer OC’S to help bring more subscribers to their account (‪@KNYOC_Fanpage‬ ), I don’t know if it helped but I wanted to at least do something for other OC creators. Some people knew it was me and I’m actually happy they did find out. It was funny trying to secretly make edits while completing personal art of mine the side of it.

Essence Amakonju, Uppermoon 7. KNY Demon OC. 💚

I was going to make an animation that was involving Essence, and then I realized that my viewers barely know anything about her so I decided to draw her again after months and add information before I do that. 💫

First page is with her knight helmet and second page is without it.

Name: Essence Amakonju

Alias / Nicknames: Drago (Upper Moon Demons)

Age: 19 (Chronologically)

Essence Amakonju is one of the main antagonists during the Evergreen Meuseum Arc of Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba, withholding the rank 7 of the Thirteen Kizuki and proven herself to be a highly dangerous enemy.

Appearance:
Drago has an athletic body type, her skin is green with two horns and a tail attached, representing a Dragon. Her outfit is inspired by what a Dark Medival Knight would wear, a full metal armor, spikes on her shoulders are included with a brown sash tied around her waist and black gloves. (She also has something attached to her left eye that’s covered yet I’m unsure on what to call that)
Her sclera is a dark grayish color, her pupils are diamond shaped with blue and red. Her hair is dark blue with a slightly faded yellow.

Weapon / Blood Demon Art:
Essence carries two sharp daggers that can easily Pearce through skin and other material, it glows red in the dark. It can even act as a disc / Frisbee, throwing it and letting it return right back to her.

Her Blood Demon Art is Dragon’s Rage, Essence unleashes an intense outbreak of fire, (Think of it as something like Fire Breathing but way different at the same time.) the fire can also transform in different ways depending on her energy levels.

Personality:
Drago can act more laid back, sarcastic, and sometimes a jokester, she’s not afraid to voice her own opinions, very direct and brutally honest, and highly confident in herself. In battle, Drago can show little to no sympathy for demon slayers, the only time where Essence actually showed remorse is before her death while talking to her siblings. She respects her fellow upper-moons equally and wants the best for all of them, she’d willingly put her life on the line to protect Muzan if she has to. Akaza views Drago as a little sister to him as they both have grown a noble friendship with each other. She also may be seen hanging out with Daki and Gyutaro at some point.

Backstory:
Before being turned into a Demon, Essence Amakonju was an innocent 5 year old young girl with a dark skin tone and dark braided hair, usually wearing a red kimono. Unfortunately, Muzan Kibutsuji emotionally deceived her and turned her into a Demon on one unfortunate day, causing her to kill her mother Mary and almost murder her father Apollo. Tyler and Zeona were thankfully not present to witness this event since they were visiting another relative’s home. Fumikoro was not actually a part of the Amakonju family yet at the time of this event, she was getting regularly babysat as her mother was busy. Fumikoro’s mother Haruki Nokimura is a former demon slayer and the child of a past Sengoku-era Hashira who is still alive and living in an undisclosed area. Haruki saved Apollo and tried to behead the demon child, but unfortunately, Essence ran away, not even giving Haruki a chance to strike with her sword. The only thing left behind of Essence’ humanity before the event is an Ichmatsu doll she used to carry with her all the time.
This specific event was also the inspiration for Apollo Amakonju to become an advanced researcher on Demons, he works with Lady Tamayo in his field of research, including learning more about the Blue Spider Lily. Haruki also became Apollo’s new wife a few years after Mary’s death at the time, leading up to Apollo being Fumikoro’s step-father. Essence was rewarded to be at the rank of an Uppermoon demon 8 years after she was turned into a demon, Muzan noticed how well she was doing at murdering humans.

Reminder: Essence doesn’t know about Fumikoro and Fumikoro only knows information about her because of her siblings.

After Essence met Fumikoro she came to the assumption that the Amakonju family was apparently trying to “replace” Essence with Fumikoro, causing even more vendetta.

I know that making this post makes me sound like a loser who should probably get a job, (Well, my persona / Main OC Adelinori is basically the representation of a Buissness woman so I don’t know how that statement I just made will make sense lol) but I want to let you all know that she shares a special place in my heart.

Mitsuri, you are such an amazing woman. Ever since 2023, the year when season three came out, the year when us Demon Slayer fans finally learned more about you, I couldn’t help but become mesmerized by you.

The fact that you’re the pillar of love makes sense, because you were able to pull me and many more of us Mitsuri Fangirls / Fanboys into your realm of absolutely devoting all of our love to you.

You’re confidence, your charisma, and you’re aura is so sensational, the fact that you were able to stay strong and keep being yourself even after the hardships of your insecurities and societal expectations of beauty standards that woman like you had to be forced to confirm to in the Taishō era is so amazing.

I wish I could write more but I actually don’t know what else to say, now I’m just gonna put this cringe poem I wrote earlier last year about her in English class (If I would’ve rhymed more then this would’ve been fire but it sounds like shit, I refuse to re-read this again because of how uncomfortable I am of my own writing at the time I made this but here. 😭):

Pink and green hair braided in three,

A simple slash from her sword might devour,
The thousands of food she might eat in one go,
To only feel hungrier after she's done,

People who tell others to k*ll themself online are clearly not helping the situation, you practically don’t care about the type of stuff you say to another human being behind a screen.

(And for this post, I’m talking about a recent situation that’s going on where a specific someone’s fans attacked someone (Hahah!..yes, a Demon Slayer OC creator), and I’ve even heard that some of their fans actually threatened death. This is why I’m telling you guys to discuss the situations you have with someone online in private because someone can definitely get hurt, or at least hide usernames so people don’t go on massive witch-hunts just to type little insults in their comment section.)

I shouldn’t be surprised because being online in general makes it easier to say hurtful things to someone without any consequences, and most of the people who say that don’t really care if the other person behind the screen is hurt.

Just because you’re probably privileged with a really good life and are completely unaware of peoples struggles (Like paying attention to the fact that there are SUICIDE VICTIMS who have to struggle with that stuff every day because of their mental state) doesn’t mean you don’t have to care about what you say to someone, even if you’re angry, same thing.

And then theirs those people who say “Telling someone to kys is a suggestion not a threat!”☝️🤓 You actually think most of us cares if it’s a threat or not? ☠️ People shouldn’t be saying that anyways so I don’t really know why you’re trying to pull the “um, ackshually” card, are you trying to justify it or something?

People turn serious situations into jokes, look at what happened when P Diddy got outed for the stuff he did? People were making Diddy jokes (And I’ve even seen Roblox games about him. ☠️), and not only that, those “I’m gonna touch you” jokes, and way more instances where people turn serious things that happen in real life into something to laugh with “DA BOYZ‼️🔥💯🙏🏽🥶🥶” about. ☠️☠️

So, since I really enjoy character designing…would it be okay if I sometimes gave out free OC’S for you guys to have if I’m in the mood for it? It’s better instead of me making Oc’s that’ll probably just go to waste and be completely forgotten in a few months. It can be Original Characters for certain fandoms / Already established universes (Like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more…) or completely Original Universes.


Unrelated to the topic I was just talking about but this guy called Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach looks SO FREAKING COOL‼️🔥, I know nothing about him other than that he’s probably a villain character (I’m still on Season one, please don’t jump me dawg. ☠️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽) and I’ve been unnecessarily glazing him ever since late last year. And uh…I might’ve called him my possible future wifey as a joke…guys I swear on my life I don’t have a crush on him, (And Adeli proceeds to lie again. 💔) I’m already a complete loser over Mitsuri, Aryu, and more unmentioned characters. 😭
BUT ANYWAYS- his design and palette fits my aesthetic perfectly (Other than Gojo), so I’ll be admiring him from afar for a while.

She doesn’t have a name nor a breathing style, leave it up to you to choose since this Oc is yours now. 💫 (Even though the accessories makes it seem like it probably has something to do with stars, space, solar energy, or light in some way lol.)

And based off her appearance, her age range is somewhere of being 18 to early 20’s.

Her dark skin can simply be her race / ethnicity, or maybe a situation in which she was born darker than her parents? Darker skin can also be caused by genetics, environmental factors like sun exposure, medical conditions, or high levels of melanin, so you can do what you will with that information, a lot of the info about her is ambiguous until you decide what stuff you wanna label about her. ^^
