Tenkar’s Tavern is a solo project dedicated to the OSR and classic gaming community. To maintain a daily schedule and 5–7 weekly livestreams while handling all research, recording, and editing myself, I utilize AI-assisted design templates for channel branding.
These templates are specifically tuned to reflect the classic TSR-style aesthetic—heavy B&W ink work with efficient pops of color—that defined the early era of our hobby. This "high-tech random table" approach (as Rob Conley calls it) allows me to keep the Tavern’s identity consistent without taking time away from the B/X deep-dives and news you come here for.

So, my schedule went to shit this past week. Mostly, if not totally, my fault. I neglected to factor in that I would need to get 5-6 videos done and in the hopper BEFORE leaving for Wizard Con in a week (in addition to the normal videos for this week and next, and stacked up scheduled doc appointments this week for Rach, my pop, and me). Oh, and of course, finalize the prep for the con - char sheets, handouts, and the like. So, whereas the Open Table was going to be a playtest for Wizard Con, Wizard Con will now serve as a playtest for The Twilight Isle Open Table. I leave in a week and return the following Monday.
I'm planning to open sign-up for the first session to Minions on Wednesday, 4/29. Regular viewers will have their opportunity to sign up on Thursday, 4/30. Barring any surprises, the first session will be May 4th @ 2000 HRS (8PM) ET. We'll be using Discord for voice and optional video, and Roll20 for the map/dice rolls.
You may bring Twilight Isle characters to any con I run at, and you may port any character from a con game with me to the Open Table.

Alright, I think I've got a plan :)
With 220 Minions/Members, Sundays have gone "Ad-Free" - both the Tavern Buy Backs and the twice-a-month Sunday Knight Special Livestream. When we hit 230 Minions (currently at 221), Saturday's Gamers' Health will go ad-free. At 250 Minions, The Vlog of Many Things on Thursday Nights goes ad-free. At 275 Minions, Wednesday Night's Talking Crit goes ad-free. Just like I refuse sponsorships, I'll be happy to get out from under YouTube's Adsense as best we can :)

The updates are hot and heavy today! I've learned a few things from my most recent Official YouTube Training. Apparently, as part of the YouTube Partners Program, I can turn ads off on certain videos. Going forward, Sundays will be the Tavern Buy-Back Series, where I answer questions from The Tavern's Minions in a shorter (but not a "short") video. These will generally be unscripted and unmonetized thanks to the support of The Tavern's Minions.
