This one took a short amount of time to pull together. Not super technical, but it’s a silly little meme cocktail combining some of my favorite flavors together.
Originally a midori sour, I wanted to add complementary flavors such as yuzu and calpico to add a bit of depth to the club classic.
During R&D I came across Empirical Soka- a sorghum based spirit with notes of cucumber and general green flavors- and decided, hey why not emphasize that cucumber flavor with an infusion? Cucumber and Midori tend to go well together, and cucumber goes well with yuzu while adding some vegetal qualities that we expect Midori should have.
