Applied to 2,500 jobs… and still no offer?

Let’s be real—this isn’t about “bad luck.”
It’s your resume.

I reviewed a case recently:
➡️ 2,500 applications
➡️ ~10 interviews
➡️ 0 offers

That’s not a pipeline problem. That’s a positioning problem.

Recruiters spend 6~10 seconds scanning your resume.
If it doesn’t hit immediately → it’s gone.

Here are the biggest mistakes I see (and how to fix them):


𝟏. 𝐍𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 — 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
❌ “Worked on X, built Y”
✅ “Reduced overdue payments by 90%, impacting $35M revenue”

Hiring managers don’t care what you did.
They care what you changed.

Ask yourself:

- Did I improve efficiency?
- Did I drive revenue or save cost?
- Did I improve customer experience?

If you can’t answer these → rewrite.


𝟐. 𝐅𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 ≠ 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞
Stop trying to “design” your resume.

- No photos
- No weird layouts
- No left-right imbalance

Clean. Simple. Easy to scan.

Your resume is not a portfolio—it’s a conversion tool.


𝟑. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐣𝐨𝐛𝐬
This is a silent killer.

Applying to Product Manager roles with a consulting resume?
Immediate rejection.

Every role needs:

- Relevant experience
- Role-specific keywords
- Tailored positioning

If it doesn’t match → you don’t exist.


𝟒. 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 = 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠
If your resume has errors, you’re signaling:
“I don’t pay attention to details.”

Use tools like Grammarly
But better: have someone stronger review it.


𝟓. 𝐓𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
No one cares about everything you’ve ever done.

Be ruthless:

- Highlight relevant experience
- Cut or shrink the rest

Clarity > quantity.


𝟔. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠
The worst I’ve seen?
9 pages… with 4 years of experience.

Rule:

- <10 years experience → 1 page (max 2)
- Be concise, not comprehensive

I disappeared for 9 months… here’s why

As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t posted on YouTube for 9 months.

You probably wondered…
"Is she still creating content?"
"Is everything okay?"

The truth is — the past 9 months almost broke me.

Between unexpected changes in my business, rebuilding my team from scratch, and trying to balance being a mom of two young kids… I was working 12+ hours a day while feeling like I was failing at everything else.

My family, my health, even how I saw myself — everything was affected.

I didn’t just pause YouTube.
I lost a part of myself.

But something shifted.

Over these 9 months, I rebuilt my team.
I doubled my business.
We turned into an AI SaaS company.

The bar, however, is incredibly high.

But this is different.

They’re not just testing product sense.

They want to know:

• Can you think strategically about the future of AI products?
• Can you make fast trade-off decisions under pressure?
• Do you truly understand AI use cases beyond surface-level buzzwords?
• Can you connect product decisions with model reliability, technical feasibility, and user trust?

These are the exact skills AI PMs need going forward.
