Showing a bit of the behind the scenes of the editing process behind the latest video, which I will be uploading soon. It took a while, but I pretty much cropped the original 2.39:1 aspect ratio of the Matrix to 16:9. The trick for the scene to look good enough despite being so cropped is to choose the right parts of the 2.39:1 image area that works for the specific shot.
For example, I had to crop all the way to the left side of the widescreen shot of Neo's computer, just for it to be shown in the final 16:9 video. Another example is cropping all the way to the right side of the original shot to show more of Neo or his friends appearing at the door. Finally, for fun, I inserted subtitles in the font of Courier, which was Neo's computer font seen in this famous scene. Follow the white rabbit, indeed.
I mainly did this video to practice being better at using the editing tools of Davinci Resolve. I've used this editor for years now, and I still want to get better at it, no harm in improving yourself, yes?
