Breaking: GrowthX member Mitesh Shethwala (since 2023) just raised $1M for his new social network: Currently.
Before this, Mitesh built and sold Alagrand, helped Frendy scale its user base, and ran Hashtechy, his own services venture.
In 2023, he set out to build Currently, a social app that connects people in real time. Fast-forward to October 2025, Currently just raised $1M led by Aarvi Family Office, with participation from LJ Knowledge Foundation and multiple angels.
The GrowthX fam is cheering you on, Mitesh. Here’s to building the next generation of social connection.

“They told me a guy with a Gujarati accent couldn’t build a world-class AI company. Today, we make ₹40 Cr a year.”
In 2021, Vishal Virani co-founded DhiWise, a revolutionary low-code platform. It was scaling fast. But by 2025, the AI landscape exploded, and their growth flatlined. Vishal was at a crossroads.
He spent months searching, realizing the massive gap in the market: the world had tools for a prompt to a prototype, but nothing for a fully functional product from a simple text prompt.
Vishal knew this was it. He had a vision for Rocket.
But when he pitched, investors focused on his accent. They doubted if a founder building from India could achieve global scale.
Instead of fighting the judgment, he went silent. He focused every ounce of energy into coding and building. He let the product be his answer.
A few months later, he launched Rocket.
Today, Rocket has over 400,000 users across 180 countries in just two months, and its valuation is a testament to Vishal’s grit.
Vishal is an exceptional example of a founder building for the world, from India. A great example of the tenacity we champion at GrowthX.
P.S. Vishal has been a GrowthX member since 2021 & is a big inspiration for all members building in AI.

Introducing the GrowthX Host Club. A collective of India’s most ambitious builders hosting curated rooms, not networking events.
Networking feels horrible. Most events have 1000+ people stuffed in a room, they feel awkward & someone tries to sell you something even before saying hi. You go to them because you feel like you should be networking, but all you leave with are business cards. Forget true connections or bonds.
But, at GrowthX, we saw something different. We were doing the exact opposite of networking & our members weren’t just attending. They were forming deep bonds, making serendipity happen & they wanted more.
We realised two truths:
1. Curation matters: people don’t want to meet 500 strangers. They want to make 5 deep bonds.
2. Hosts matter: the best rooms are built by people who make events not feel like events at all.
This is why we built the GrowthX Host Club. A collective of the most ambitious GrowthX members building spaces that feel like meeting old friends. No sales. No business cards. Just real conversations.
Over the last six months, GrowthX Hosts have already created magic in the ecosystem. They've curated 500+ events, attended by 10,000+ folks across 11+ Indian cities. GrowthX events look nothing like a typical event. For example:
- Bowling, Ramen & Sake conversations with Swati
- Marketing masterminds for leaders with Jaimit
- Women-only cocktail circles with Shikha
- AI + China deep-dive with Alysha
- AI jams over burgers with Ronak
& many more.
Till now, our events were only accessible to GrowthX members. But starting today, even if you’re not a GrowthX member, you can request access to select events.
That’s the GrowthX Host Club. Explore all events being hosted by our GrowthX Hosts with the link in the comments:
