Simplify complex topics in a visually engaging way in Nepali. Socrates once said, “I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think". That's the goal.

The water you drink every single day—how sure are you that it's actually safe?

Jar water. It's in every home, every office, and every hotel across the country, and we seem to trust it without a second thought. But we need to take a step back and ask if it's really safe.

So, at The Nepali Comment, we decided to find out. We collected 13 water samples from different sources across the valley and sent them for lab testing, and the result might make you think twice before your next glass.

This wasn't a quick, easy video to make. It took months of planning, fieldwork, and lab testing because we have pushed boundaries, and this is more than our regular video content.

Watch the video before it's too late. Also tell us your favorite part from the video.

A community pushed into discrimination for generations. Women forced to protest half-naked outside Singha Durbar just to be heard. Children denied citizenship. Families denied dignity.

Most Nepalis have heard the word “Badi.”
Very few know what the community actually went through.

This video explores the history of the Badi community, the struggles they faced, and the movements that changed Nepal’s conversation around identity, dignity, and rights.

If you’re interested in understanding a side of Nepal’s history that is rarely discussed, this video is worth your time.

This is unlike anything you have seen on YouTube!

Treating it like any other video felt like undermining the legend, Bhairav Aryal. Hand-drawn illustrations, interviews, and three months of extensive work: we have poured our heart into this project.

A Bit of Bad News but Also Something Really Special.

Let’s get the bad news out of the way first:
Our regular Saturday TNC Live stream (8 PM onwards) has been postponed to tomorrow evening at 8 PM.

Now the good news:
We’re releasing our first-ever TNC Original Documentary.
Some stories don’t just inform you, they grip you. Some lives are so profoundly moving, you don’t just watch them, you feel them. The questions you begin with slowly fade, making room for something deeper.

This is the story of Caspar.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances on my end, today’s live will be postponed to tomorrow instead.
Really sorry for the change, and thanks so much for your understanding!

Hope to see you all there tomorrow.

So we’re in a bit of a dilemma.

We’ve started doing live sessions here on the TNC channel, but it’s starting to feel like it’s confusing people. And that’s not what we want.

We assumed the "Live" tab on YouTube would be enough to keep things separate. The idea was simple: we’d go live on Saturdays only, and everything else would be our usual, edited content.

But now we’re starting to worry, this mix might be hurting our longer videos, the ones that take months to research, shoot, and produce. Some of you might skip them, thinking it’s just another live stream.

So does it make sense to start a separate channel just for live content?

Yes, the livestreams aren't as engaging as the edited ones but it enables us to talk about current affairs more which we might not be able to cover regularly.

Would that make things clearer for you?

We’re genuinely curious what you think. Let us know in the comments
