📰 A shock announcement released by Versace last week revealed that Donatella Versace is set to leave her post as creative director of the brand after 27 years.

The fashion 👗 icon will take on the new role of chief brand ambassador but is officially taking a step back from design duties. ✂️

Donatella took over the family business after her brother Gianni, the brand's founder, was tragically murdered in 1997.

Almost three decades later, she leaves the job as one of the most renowned and successful female designers, 👱🏻‍♀️ with her tenure responsible for some of modern fashion's most memorable moments.

Notably, she dressed Jennifer Lopez for the Grammys 🎶 in 2000 in a silk green chiffon gown that generated so much interest it prompted Google to launch Google Images. 📸
