I just can't seem to be able to catch a break even when trying to do the simplest things. You might've noticed that in the last couple of days I've been looking into turning certain sections of my videos into shorts, hoping that each could promote the full video. Thankfully, you can simply click on the "Remix" feature under a video to turn a section of it into a short. However, the editing part is HORRIBLY broken.
First of all, it randomly deletes the texts that I've added in the final upload without any warning or reason. It only does this sometimes too while it's completely fine at other times, hence why some of these shorts have "full video on channel" written above them while some don't.
Second of all, the cutting tool will sometimes immediately trim down the video to 15 seconds the moment I touch it. Like with the issue above, this also only SOMETIMES happens and I can't figure out why. It also always cuts like 0.1-0.2 seconds from the very end by itself anyway, which doesn't sound like an issue but creates this annoying situation where the last syllable is cut off mid-point abruptly.
Lastly, it will also sometimes give an error that I need "at least 1 second of video to upload" even though the entire clip is there. I don't get it.
I'm sorry for this lengthy rant, I'm just genuinely so tired and frustrated at the sheer amount of problems I'm encountering during a process that should be so, so incredibly simple. For god's sake, I'm only trying to cut and reupload a part of my own video with some text on it. How could it all break apart this much, this hard? With every day at this point I just feel the need for youtube to have any real competition at all more and more. It's become an abysmal experience to deal with in so many ways. I'll likely edit the rest of the shorts that I'm planning using using a separate software on my phone instead of this from now on.
As always, take care of yourselves and thank you for watching.
I finally just got the true ending of Void Stranger, and although I wouldn't put it among my favorite games ever due to personal tastes, I was still blown away by the sheer ambition, creativity and genius behind this game. It is definitely one of those titles that deserves its own video on the channel, but to be frank, I don't like spending valuable time making content that I feel is redundant. If I've already seen someone else's video on a game that more or less already says everything I would like to say about it, I'll just recommend that video to everyone instead of making my own. That video for this game, which you can see down below, was made by none other than Super Eyepatch Wolf. Watching the first half of it was even what got me to stick with the game and see it all the way through to the end myself. Go check it out! This video pretty much goes over everything that makes this experience special and I can't think of anything I could add if I were to make my own, except on the point of looking up for solutions or clues from the wiki and such while playing. While most people don't recommend it, I personally think that it's fine if you really get stuck on a puzzle or feel clueless as to how to progress. Things can get *really* obscure and brutal with this one.
Also, I have no new video in production as of now since I'm still looking for ideas and busy with other things at the moment. Please go watch my last video if you haven't in the meantime. It got so little attention that it kind of made me a little upset to be honest :/
This is just going to be a furious rant that I need to get off my chest.
I tried multiple times today to edit the actual video with the footage in order to make it more acceptable based on what I've seen others be able to upload for their reviews, essays etc. of this movie. I have seen so many channels use nothing but footage from the movie for the visuals of their videos entirely. I have seen this on big channels and small channels, positive critiques and negative critiques. I don't know if they are monetized or not, but none of their videos are blocked from being visible altogether so I just genuinely don't understand why I'm getting this treatment specifically. It somehow feels targeted even though it makes absolutely no sense since it's YouTube's automatic detection thing that's doing this, and no one even knows who I am. Netflix will not go into any details in their response on why they reject my dispute either. I feel powerless and frustrated. I've uploaded footage from movies before and they always got claimed too, but it was always fine with me since I'm not even trying to monetize these videos, just share them. Nothing had ever caused anything I tried to upload to be restricted worldwide.
If any of you have any idea on how other channels are not being punished like this, I would be really glad to hear it. I'm sorry for letting you all down. I know it sucks to not have a real video after a hiatus like this.
I know there hasn't been any real videos in a while. I've actually been working on one but I just cannot find the time to finish it. It's been stressing me out a lot since I wanted to release it in May and move onto something else in June so that I could maybe break that cycle of releasing a few actual videos in winter and then going to hiatus during the whole summer. It's been that way for the last couple years and it frustrates me to no end. It's never because I actually *want* to take a break from the channel, but life just always ends up being so busy in this season and the brutal heat makes it all the more harder for me to sit on my sweaty ass and work on videos.
I'm genuinely sorry to say this but I'm afraid that this summer may end up the same as well. I'm not saying there 100% won't be any new videos, but currently, forcing myself to finish one is doing more harm for me than good. Thus, although I'm again not saying that this is 100% going to be the case, I'm going to give myself the freedom to let go of my current project and the deadlines I've been setting for myself. I really do want to see this one to the end, but not like this. It is what it is. If I do end up scrapping it and moving onto something else as my next video, I'll probably still briefly talk about it at the start.
Take care of yourselves and thank you for reading.

Hi again.
New video progress is going well. It should come out next week if there are no unforeseen problems.
Here's a tuxedo cat with a bowtie collar I've seen a few weeks ago as a reward for your patience :)
