it's been like, 4 days, and the video is already at almost 300 views and nearly 20 likes, both of which are the most i've ever gotten. it probably doesn't seem like a lot to most people, but it's absolutely astonishing for me and it means the world to see that people are enjoying what i'm making a little bit. so i wanted to say thank you, and let you all know that i'll make the next one even better. love you guys <3
that’s wild, time really does fly. so much has changed for me since then— i’m taller, voice is deeper, made new friends, got r4-c black ice. it’s crazy to think how long it’s been and the journey along the way.
i’ve been playing rainbow six siege for almost 7 years now. a few years ago i quit the game, and in search of something new, i started on valorant. i played during the beta, but felt like i should get into it more than i had until that point. i began recording my shenanigans, and those turned into my first uploads here. i still talk to some of the friends i made during that time. i think i was probably 14 when all of that went on.
a little while later, valorant got a bit stale and i couldn’t resist the call of my homeland that is rainbow six. and the way i played when i came back, it was like riding a bike. i uploaded that last video, the siege one, when i was 15. i didn’t have a ton of time on my hands mainly because of school and sports, so i never really followed up on it.
sure, there were twitch streams here and there, and shitposts on twitter, but i like making videos. recording and editing and captioning and making thumbnails, it all adds a type of creative nuance to it that you just can’t always capture with a livestream. but i lacked the time, the patience, the energy, the facilities, and the drive to do it.
fast forward, it’s now 2024. it feels like it’s been 4 months, but it’s been 3 whole years. here i sit, a new person compared to all that time ago.
i started this at the beginning of high school, just when we got out of virtual schooling. and now, i’m getting ready to leave my home and go to college.
i started this as a scrawny little guy who played games all day. and now, i’ve gotten bigger and stronger, i’ve played sports and gotten into new hobbies.
i started this as a kid. and now, i’m growing up.
there’s a lot to think about, and a lot to worry about. but like always, games are my escape. they’re a social vessel, a competitive environment, and a passageway into something other than school and work and politics, the mundane parts of the real world. i love that about them.
and hopefully, you’ll like watching as me and my friends enjoy them. and maybe, just maybe, it’ll make you go turn on your pc and get lost in your own little wonderful world for a bit.
football season is potentially coming to a close over the next few weeks, and i scheduled an appointment for pc repair this week. things are looking up. will be back with more info soon <3
in the mood for update you guys on what’s going on
so as the time gap between now and my last upload has demonstrated, i haven’t had a whole lot of time or focus for all of this over the last year or so. school, sports, and life in general have taken precedence. even over the summer when i had a relatively large amount of free time, video editing software issues and the fact that my pc is currently fucked has prevented me from getting it done and is now stopping me from playing games as a whole. however, after months of trying to figure it out, i’m going to be taking my pc somewhere to get the problem figured out. additionally, seeing as this is my final year of high school sports, i should have a significantly bigger amount of free time come november or december. once the pc issues are sorted out and time becomes less of an issue, i’ll begin playing and uploading again. promise. love you guys <3
