I'm finally editing the videos from my 30 days of daily oil painting challenge from May and June ✨

I've been struggling a bit with the editing because I don't want to make long, boring videos where I just show every single painting from start to finish. I'm also thinking about talking more in some of the videos instead of only using music. Maybe sharing my thoughts, little struggles, or what I'm learning along the way.

Would you enjoy that? Or do you prefer quiet painting videos?

· I’m doing a 30 days challenge, painting small oil studies every day from life references ✨
· It’s for discipline, but also to better understand colors, light, and technique.
· It’s slow, sometimes frustrating… but I can already feel the progress (I’m almost halfway)
· I also took some reference photos for you, in case you want to paint the same still lifes (I'll share them at the end)
· I’m also trying to capture little moments from the process (maybe I’ll make some shorts before I finish this challenge)

Over the past few weeks I’ve been trying to go back to the basics, so I’ve been drawing mostly still life studies to improve my technique and proportions.

I’m also struggling with colors a bit, since I spent a long time drawing mostly with pencil.

If you ever feel like things just aren’t working, or even like you’ve gotten worse, you’re not alone. Sometimes you just need to slow down. Set smaller goals. And remember why you create in the first place.💗
And most importantly… compare yourself mainly to your past self.
