Prof. M. El-Helaly

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

I absolve myself of the world's silence regarding the targeting of hospitals, medical staff, paramedics, patients and their families anywhere in the world, especially in the Palestinian city of Gaza.

Based on the oath that I took when I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, I stand in solidarity with the medical team in the hospitals of Gaza City in occupied Palestine, which have been subjected to continuous bombing by the army of the Israeli occupation state for more than a month until the date of writing this post, which has caused the martyrdom and death of a large number of doctors, nurses and paramedics, patients and their families.

I also stand in solidarity with the medical ambulance crews whom were bombed by the Israeli army, causing massacres of patients and paramedics.

All of these crimes are documented and occurred in front of the whole world

In my role as a doctor, I hold all local and international bodies responsible for these massacres, including the ministries of health and doctors’ unions in Arab, Islamic and international countries, as well as the World Health Organization, the United Nations and other institutions that set laws to protect hospitals, medical staff, paramedics and patients. I hold all of them responsible for what is happening from the Israeli occupation bombing of the hospitals of Gaza or other hospitals in the world as a result of any war. The blood of the victims of these massacres is the responsibility of these facilities.

In my role as a doctor, I demand the necessity of effective action for these above-mentioned facilities, to stop targeting Gaza’s hospitals now, and to send medical support to these hospitals so that they can do their part to treat the sick and injured people

This is a message of peace and safety for every sick or injured persons every who deserve to be provided with medical services, regardless of their religion, race, or color.
