Knowing and growing our own food, preserving the harvest, and teaching the lost skills of generations past. Important Tip!! Don't overlook the regulator on your propane tanks! If they are exposed to deep freezing temperatures THEY CAN FREEZE! If this happens the gas won't flow rendering the bottle useless. Take steps to protect exposed regulators from the cold before you need the heat. Being prepared, not scared🤗 Praying for all in the path of the storm❤️

Fresh milled, 100% whole wheat, sourdough
There is something so humbling when you pull a beautiful loaf of bread from the oven. A seemingly simple food that has sustained humanity since the dawn of creation. When we as wives, mothers, or grandmother's thoughtfully craft a loaf of bread by the work of our hands, we honor our family, our calling, but most of all, our Heavenly Father.

@OakHavenHomestead just dropped a great video on raising hogs at home, sharing his great, simple setup. Pasture raising isn't doable for everyone, but ethically home raised is ALWAYS BETTER than store-bought. The majority of pork available in the grocery store has been raised and/or processed in China. If you can, raise at home.

Raw milk buttermilk... the image on the left is from actual "buttermilk," and the one on the right is full fat fresh raw milk. I purchased culture from New England Cheesemaking Co and cultured the one on the left. Later, I used some of that buttermilk to culture the raw whole milk. Owning a sweet little Jersey is a lot of work, but oh, so rewarding💕
