About Department
Empowerment of women is one of the key development initiatives identified by the Government of Odisha. It is well-known that economic empowerment of women significantly contributes to their social empowerment. As such helping women to achieve economic independence by enabling them to have independent employment and income has been accorded the highest priority. Therefore, promotion of Women’s Self-Help Groups (WSHGs) under the aegis of ‘Mission Shakti’ programme was adopted in 2001 as a key strategy for achieving women’s empowerment.

ସୁଭଦ୍ରା ଶକ୍ତି: ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତା ତା-୧୧.୦୬.୨୫ ଖଇରା ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ସମିତି ରେ ସୁଭଦ୍ରା ଶକ୍ତି ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତା ଓ ଉତ୍ସବ ବ୍ଲକ ସ୍ତରୀୟ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଅଛି I ଏହି ପ୍ରତିଯୋଗିତାରେ ୩୭ ଗୋଟି ଗ୍ରାମ ପଂଚାୟତ ରୁ ୧୫ ଗୋଟି ସ୍ୱୟଂ ସହାୟକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠି ଭାଗ ନେଇଥିଲେ I ସେମାନେ ନିଜ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଏହିଠାରେ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି କରିଥିଲେ I

୫୦ ଜଣେ ମିଶନ ଶକ୍ତି ମହିଳା ମାନକୁ ନେଇ ମା ଝଂଶିବାଇ ମହାସଂଘ, ବରଦା ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ର ଜୈବିକ ପଦ୍ଧତି ରେ ଲଙ୍କା, ଲେମ୍ବୁ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ପରିବା ଚାଷ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପଂଚାୟତ ରୁ ଲିଜ ନେଇ ଜମି ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଜୀବିକା ମିଶନ ତରଫରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଥିକ ସହାୟତା ଓ ତାଲିମ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରାଯାଉଛି।
