End of May Update | 31/05/2025

Deltarune. Has finished. Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Snowgrave DONEZO.
I can focus on.... Grinding... Unicorn Overlord? I guess???
Shieee-- Oh well! Got to finish games before bringing in new ones!

BUT YES. 31 O May.
It is time. For One Piece. For it is real, and to be released later TONIGHT!
From Chapter 2 we enter the hype of SEASON TWO !

I will be watching the Tudum event later tonight (at 3am luleo) and
MOSTLY playing Smash Brothers on the side, just to see the new One Piece trailer!
So look for that upload TOMORROW.

VERY EXCITING.
I can breathe a sigh of relief after all my sources of stress and preparations MIGHT be over for at least a little while! I still got to see how the changing of the month turns out financially, since I'm eyeing that Switch 2 purchase, but we should be... ALL GOOD. For now!

Maybe. Everything is liable to change though.
But it seems good.

And you can bet your behind I'm gonna take it easy with....
uh.... new Chapters of Deltarune... Mario Kart World....
while trying to clear Dragon Quest IX.... and I still haven't beat Zelda yet.......

Oh right, Sunday already.
This week my voice was down bad due to colder temps and rains coming in so there wasn't much progress in the face of all the other things I had to spend time on. Games are moving slow at the moment.

I'll finish Zelda when I feel like it.
Advance Wars hasn't continued after I got back to it.
Dragon Quest IX had one session this week.
Unicorn Overlord will most likely be finished soon.
Aaaand Deltarune Chapter 2 got severely interrupted with my dying voice.

Yeap. Moving on. We'll see how much gets done next week.

Right on, time for a
Brief Sunday Update | 18/05/2025

Deltarune progress retrieval has been successfully initiated with two brisk sessions to completely finish Chapter 1. And next weekend I'll most likely do Chapter 2 in three sessions! Good stuff.

Zelda hasn't been finished yet (oh no what a bummer) but I'll get to that next week.

And strategy hours with Unicorn Overlord and Advance Wars will also continue mostly in off commentary sessions, since I don't really have too much to talk about during the gameplay parts of those.

And for RPGs, Dragon Quest IX will enter full on focus for it's story since I've gotten to a point where I don't have to grind so much for side quests or materials and such. There'll still be some grinding here and there but the story pace will be faster from now on.

Aaaand that's it! Yes.
Depends on how much free time I'll have, I might do something else too but we'll see.
If there's any extra sessions I'd do, it would probably be Final Fantasy Tactics A2.

Anyways! Onwards to more game progress.

Sunday Update | 11/05/2025

To be honest. I ran in to some unexpected issues when ordering a Switch 2.
I will update whether or not I'll be able to procure one at launch, but then again, I'm not entirely in a rush to get one either... I'm sure people will already figure out all the cheese for Mario Kart World in just few days anyways so it's not like I would miss out on anything if I was a little late to the party.

Ah well.

Anyways. I was supposed to do a whole bunch of gaming this weekend but I ended up opting my time for Total Warhammer 3 instead. Oops! Currently playing as the Caravan of Blue Roses, one of the Undead/Vampire Counts/Midnight Aristocracy factions... Time sure flies in that game.

Speaking of. The current list of games is:

-Unicorn Overlord
-Legend of Zelda (one last session to do)
-Dragon Quest IX
-Advance Wars 2 Hard Campaign

and Pokémon Black 2 Longplay, which continues most likely on the night between Sun-Mon.
I'm not sure how much I'll actually want to play that game for since last session revealed my burn out on Pokémon gameplay (it's not like I added a whole new Pokémon game in between that series anyway) so I'll most likely wrap things up with this session. I already defeated Cynthia on my first try so I'm pretty contempt with leaving Black 2 behind by now... But I do got to check the ACTUAL post-league story that the game was hinting at...

But we'll see! After Zelda I'll most likely want to start another classic game (looking at Mario Land right now) but who knows, could be something else! Gonna keep the games shorter though so I don't get bogged with anything too big. 'Cause we got some work to do...

DELTARUNE. The dates are out for PC edition as well!
And apparently... PC edition launches universally on June 5th after midnight in JST!
(That means June 4th 5pm for me!)

So I'll be definitely recording sessions of those new chapters ASAP.
This is even better if my Switch 2 procurement gets late, meaning I can just focus on those!
But before we can do the new ones, I got to get my old progress back on track!
So I'll be playing Deltarune on each weekend from now on.

That leaves three whole weekends before the new chapters are out!
Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and finally the Weird Route for the last one!
Sounds like a plan. Now... I just got to... finish making the thumbnail pieces....
Which are still... on the works. Ish. Might have to work on the style a little bit more...
Needs to look niiice and tidy, personalised for each coming session...

...I think I'll spend the rest of today on that, so we'll get back to games next week!

I somehow managed to cut the middle of my right thumb.
It stings to touch anything so I'll take this sunday off (since the games I currently play all use controller) But, it do be the time to write the

Sunday Update | 04/05/2025

And yeah! I was already taking some time off yesterday to play Total War: Warhammer III as the Vampire factions... Did some good routine stuff too, had a long nice trek across wilderness as the storm clouds went past us.
And of course, this weekend the neighbors also had to be super loud. So there's that too.

So all in all it's a good time to take a break.

Next week the games will be...

-Unicorn Overlord grinding towards more story
-The Legend of Zelda
-Dragon Quest IX
-Continue post League content in Pokémon Black 2

and maybe extra stuff, we'll see.

I need to get ready to play through Deltarune again, before the new chapters come out.
Voice has been super dead, but now it's starting to boot back up, so should be possible soonish. I also wanna make some thumbnail pieces for it, but there's been barely any chance to focus on making something nice so it'll definitely be later this month.

But other than that... I guess we're just waiting for Switch 2, huh?
I still haven't ordered mine. Hopefully there's still stock.
(Who am I kidding, EVERYONE in the north is buying from France/Germany. But I'll bite the bullet since the extra delivery wait for just saving 70-80 bucks isn't worth the hassle.)

Anyways! Thassaboudit.
I'm not going to add any larger games other than maybe more classics (NES, SNES, Gameboy) after Zelda I is done, but we'll see how busy it gets again on June! Time for more Warhammer... Off I go!

➡️ Weekend, takes five days, no working phone for five days

This week I was just completely out of energy. A little bit sick too at the start of the week.

Monday 1AM Update | 28/04/2025

Riiight, riiight. Guess I should still write about schedules anyways.
Oblivion. Is it really something I need to play right now?
Since I've never personally played through it myself, I feel like that game already evolved in to me just pointlessly looking around at stuff, and now I fear the playthrough, if recorded, won't be anything interesting at all.

So I'mma cancel it.
BAM. It's gone.

I'll leave the playlist alone with it's whopping two parts, but Oblivion just ain't gonna happen right now.
Like I mentioned, I was a little sick this week and pretty much just lost all my energy towards anything, so a cozy stroller like Oblivion is just not going to work out. I need something else...

Or... I could just continue with Unicorn Overlord and Dragon Quest IX (the latter shares the same problem with Oblivion, and I don't need two sleeper games at the moment) While Overlord has been a banger this week. I recorded 12 hours of it yesterday in two separate sessions. And I definitely want to focus on it more next week as well. Even though I got a lot of progress done in, I'm not even halfway through it yet.

But... What about other games?
Dragon Quest I'll still stick to, but what else should I play?
Is there anything out there that would pique my interest at this low energy state...?

DELTARUNE.
...Well, this was already coming anyway, but I kind of need a voice for that one...
I'll start getting my old save back sometime next month.

Exactly. There just isn't anything within my sight that I would want to play.
The whole dead voice (due to cool temperatures and moisture) and low energy situation is robbing me out of any interest right now, so maybe I'll just have to stick to Unicorn Overlord and then eventually jump to Deltarune again. Do Dragon Quest and Black 2 on days when I feel like going for cozy/long RPG sessions.

...Why did Monster Hunter have to suck... One job, man. One job. I can't believe it...
Maybe I should bootup the original Zelda and do some classic gaming instead....
This slump is destroying my hobby interests.

Riiight, Sunday. Once again.
Easter Sunday Update | 20/04/2025

CivilizationV, Super Mario 64 DS and Pokémon Silver longplay are done!
The only thing I'm moving in to is the post-League story in Pokémon Black 2, with the longplay slot that usually happens on weekends (apparently)

After Black 2 I'll definitely take a longer break from any Pokémon games, probably across this entire remainer of the year! But there's plenty of them left for me to do later. Seeing the sizable prices on Switch 2 games really makes me want to skip Legends Z-A so I most likely won't get in to it after all.

Switch 2, huh... I think I'll still get it...
I don't like the price increase for nordic countries (extra hundred+ bucks, otherwise I'd be fine with it) on Switch 2, but seeing that my Switch has been running on manually blown air due to the cooling fans breaking some time back, I have a good reason to still get it. There's still Switch 1 games that I want to play at some point too, so doing them on the Switch 2 would be a nice upgrade at least.

But when it comes down to buying games at 60-90 bucks, it's really going to limit what new games I go for. I ain't paying that much for half-baked Nintendo 1st party IPs. Tears of the Kingdom so far has been the biggest recent scam I fell for, but looking at some of the ports they've put out like Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario vs Donkey Kong, so on, it really feels like Nintendo is on the hunt just for more money.
Or have they always been? Most likely so.

Even games like Echoes of Wisdom and Mario Wonder ended up being quite short.
Is this where Nintendo is going? Ay caramba, man...

Anyways.
Switch 2 with Kart World, will still happen for me.
I'll buy the bundle. Even at increased price.
'Cause I wanna. I got the moneys. Gimme the goods.
Might as well while the bundle is still available.
But after that? We'll see.

Bananza? Depends on how long it's going to be.
Kirby Air Riders? Ooh, that's a tough one to skip. Might have to buy.
Metroid Prime 4? Could be skippable.

We'll just have to see.
We'll also have to see which games I decide to play next week.
Right now it's just Unicorn Overlord, Dragon Quest IX and Black 2 Longplay on my list.
I haven't decided which would be the new choice, but I could also do an off-week for extra sessions, which I was supposed to do last week but I guess Civ V butted in. It'll most likely be just another shorter game.

Buuut I can figure that out later!
For now, this is enough yapping.

Monday Update | 14/04/2025

I guess Sunday came and went. I guess I also slept for 7+5 hours last night.
Maybe I should take it easy, too. Progress is being made in current games but lately the views have dropped to such a point that maybe I could be slacking a bit more. (ha ha no, I got plenty other games to play still)

But I guess having a little break wouldn't hurt.
Mario 64 DS was finished (other than the final star which I'll get in an Easter special)
Unicorn Overlord is progressing smoothly.
And Civilization V as Washington entered the Modern Era.

So what's next?
Well... I didn't get to do as many "extra" sessions last week as I wanted to do, instead opting to start Civ V... So maybe this week will also be more on the extra side as well... I did one check up session on Black 2, but apparently there's still plenty of side stuff there so I think I'll get back to it after Silver longplay is finished.
Which speaking of, I think this week I'll try to knock out both Silver and Civilization V off.

And that means properly finishing both, of course! I guess a lot of games WERE actually knocked off a month ago... Will I return to those games at any point? Probably. But I do have a lot of games I want to play right now...
I think Dragon Quest IX will be the one to start this week, as well.

Should we still call it the April RPG when most of April is already almost gone???
Ehhh, it's been busy, still. In a weird sense I'm still right on schedule with my RPGs.
I guess one of these days I could jump back in to SMT3 Nocturne as well.

But yeah! Let's keep the schedule clean.
Unicorn Overlord, Civilization V, Pokémon Silver, some extras and Dragon Quest IX will be it for this week!

And of course, don't forget the Mario Kart World direct!
I think I'll still get a Switch 2... Even if here I have to buy an EXTRA 1OO bucks thanks to the distributor....
But definitely won't buy as many games on it as Switch. No way.
Let's hope at least the digital prices won't be so extreme...

Okay screw the last Sunday Update, let's make a proper one.

So, as you may have seen... I switched to factory mode to pump out the final sessions of Pirate Yakuza. And I leave that series with a sour note due to constant technical issues that caused me to redo a lot of the fights in the final parts of the game. Suddenly crashing in every other cutscene, with no known roundabouts or fixes for it.
Completely unexplainable issues. Aaaall the way from day one.

But before this all happened I also had some rage moments in Mario 64 DS earlier today due to Rainbow Cruise cursing my 100-coin gathering conquest on some of the final stars I need, which prevented me from finishing that game today.

So you can bet I was a little volatile for the finale of Pirate Yakuza.
Couldn't really enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Overall rating went down to five/ten.

But it's all done now.
Out of my system, out of my files, and boy am I actually still looking forward to seeing what they're gonna do with that "To Be Continued" cliffhanger. So, despite the bump, I'm still excited for more Yakuza in the future. And Project Century, whatever that will eventually turn out to be.

Now, while I was going to add Monster Hunter Wilds in to that slot immediately...
I think I'm honestly going to need a break from garbage. I don't expect they've done any performance fixes on Wilds, and I was also looking in to some other poor details of the game earlier... Maybe not throw that burnable material in to the dumpster fire that this day has been.

So maybe instead I'm going to focus on more Unicorn Overlord and extra games next week.
One offs, misc games I haven't played in a while... That kind of menu.
Could even start Dragon Quest IX to chill out to the next cozy RPG grinder.

But yeah! Speaking of... I guess Pirate Yakuza did end up being a lot of grinding for the most part...
So I am honestly glad it's done. Now you know why the last seven videos were just Pirate Yakuza.
Anyways. Just to let ya know the current channel news if anyone was curious.
